The Amazing Race has been on the air for nearly twenty-three years. Over the past few years, we have seen countries such as India, Germany, France, and Switzerland visited so many damn times it can make your head spin.
Therefore, I was curious: What is the most recent visit by country? Has TAR US gotten to the point where we see the same rotation of twenty to thirty countries over and over again?
I did some research, and what I found may or may not surprise you.
NOTE: According to how most sources count as a country on The Amazing Race, there is an unofficial count of 200 countries (193 UN member states, Palestine, Kosovo, Taiwan, Vatican, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales).
Once TAR “36” finishes airing, we will have FINALLY crossed the fifty percent threshold! I can’t wait for that Nauru visit! Given that the entire second episode of TAR “36” took place in less than one square kilometre of Puerto Vallarta, any tiny South Pacific nation is within the realm of possibility.
By the way: 101 countries divided by 36 seasons equals 2.80 new countries visited per season. After TAR “36.” I can see that ratio falling rapidly.
