7.111 Previously on SCWL. . .

– After nine rounds and twelve eliminations, the thirteen remaining players agreed to begin the second half of the game. It was finally an individual game.
– But The Warriors of Light from Ky were outnumbered as outsider Renee joined forces with majority Co to create an eight versus five dynamic.
– The Mad Scientists Brian and Rudez forged as many bonds as possible, but a rare slip up in regards to keeping Renee put them and their Warriors in peril.
– Despite technically losing immunity, Michael’s questionable sportsmanship promoted him from an inactive player to sudden individual threat in the space of one round as he took home the necklace.
– MGI, a twist practically irrelevant up to this point, saw its final day as Cam beat Christian in the final duel of the season. This led to Cam winning a reward for being the last person standing on MGI.
– The reward was a talisman from SCWL 2 where one player could use it at one Tribal Council before the voting period ended. Also known as the rules with the Guatemala idol. Rudez would be the recipient as she now holds an idol and a talisman.
– Sergiu revealed that he was the true mastermind behind Cameron’s elimination, and decided to execute Aaron for not concealing information.
– But Aaron was not the only one guilty of that. Leif revealed to Warriors Lister and Brian that he had been chasing the Rogue Idol.
– At Tribal Council, Aaron was punished by Sergiu as he was voted out with eight votes. The plan by the Warriors to eliminate DQ failed.
– And Leif is one vote away from securing the rogue idol as he successfully cast a lone vote against Marcelo. Will the rogue idol finally be taken?
– Twelve players remain; who will be voted out tonight?

7.112 Round 11 Confessionals

BRIAN,

“What happens if I save Aaron?” – Rudez Merks
Tribal Council #11 Postmortem: So it wasn’t a Co that went, and it wasn’t DQ. It was Aaron, and thanks to Michael and Lyndsay we knew that was really the plan. We have an idol that could have easily saved him.
Telling Rudez that was not a good idea was hard, but it was the right move for the following reasons.
1. It wouldn’t give Ky the numbers…we would still be down 6-5
2. It probably wouldn’t break up Co…they’d just boot DQ
3. It promises to be more valuable later on, especially if one of us is targeted…hopefully this shows the Ky idol is really not in play.
4. It doesn’t spook potential allies down the road…yet
5. We have other options open for us, hopefully, which may prefer a smaller Ky group. Leif rogue voted (2 of 3?) for the penalty idol. He told me and I told Rudez then I watched Rudez badger him until he admitted it haha.
One option going forward is Season 2 power with Rudez mixed in. (I told her we could call her “Jamie” to make her feel included) This would involve Mike and Marcelo joining us and voting Sergiu or DQ (Past votes). Mike actually suggested it, and I think he’s too busy to lie to me.
The 2nd option is Lyndsay and Efe joining us and voting Naomi or DQ (Past votes). For some reason Efe really didn’t want to vote DQ this round and I think he may have blown his game right there…we’ll see what opens up to us!
Heck Sergiu seems to be concerned that Aaron as the target became widely known and now maybe he’ll thing about flipping! I hope these aren’t all false hopes…somebody has to make a move! So whether it involves Rudez becoming “an honorary season 2er” (her words) or me being “part of season 6… At heart” (Lyndsay’s words) it remains…Mad Scientists to the End!

So I’m being asked to convince you that a penalty idol mission I’ve never read allows for rogue votes to count at a voided tribal council…if the reading of the mission allows for this interpretation change your mind…k thanks bye…

“I have the Ky idol..”- Rudez Merks

“If information is power in Survivor, why do I feel so damn helpless” – Brian Whitehead

Round 11 Confessional: Things are not going to plan.

I felt sure that Co was going to turn on themselves and self-destruct and the smaller but tighter Ky group would prevail. But nothing like this happened…I woke up this morning to find out that Mike and Marcelo were targeting me and then found out a couple hours later that Efe has no intent of voting with me.

(I’m trying to figure out if he wants nothing to do with me, or is just incompetent) Then I found that Rudez and I don’t know mustaches as well as we hoped. So Rudez told Lister and Leif about her idol! I got to pretend that I hadn’t know about it since a minute after she claimed it, which was fun.

Between Lyndsay and Naomi, I expect we’ll know where Co’s votes are going and can play an idol, but I don’t know if that will be enough to flip the game, especially since an idol activating will nullify the rogue vote Leif needs for his idol…doesn’t anybody want to make a move here!

I don’t suppose a tribal following an idol will stir up the game enough…Rudez to the end!

EFE,

Confession: It was a hard vote for me since Aaron was with me in the beginning but he is such a great player and when I asked him If he is willing to bond with me and Marcelo he didn’t seem sincere to me. The biggest reason he went instead of Lister is DQ because she was fixed on her and we afraid that Micheal could flip so we needed her.

Now the most important concern is possible S2 alliance including Brian, lister, leif, marcelo and michael. I trust Marcelo and I hope there is no such a thing. It would be a power alliance for sure.

I figured out that Leif got that penalty idol last night and I spread it to everywhere, He really need to go because he is sneaky and deceiver. If we can blindside him with his idol not only he will be out but possible s2 alliance will break.

My future plans include Lynsday, Marcelo and Sergui. I really like these 3. Actually I might include rudez and brian to that list If they didn’t act stupid. We voted Aaron, Now what?

You should be thankful that you are still in the game. Instead of assuming a pose they should have acted understanding and be ready to work with us again. I want to say that We(me and Lynds) are not the initial causes why she fail in SCWL, her game play and her attitude let her down and put her out of the game. I really like her but she should change her attitude. Lynsday still wants to make her pleased and vote Micheal but that’s definitely not the best option.

These few rounds gonna be harassing yet I will make sure that I will have fun along the way

Confession: I am proud of myself It was DeAnne’s advice for me to not to get paranoid.

We are having a crazy pre-tribal and I am the calmest in the CO alliance. If It were SCWL 6 I would be paranoid but I kinda learnt it has no benefits and it harms your image on others. Chaos queen and king ( rudez and brian) really stir things up, they are doing their best to shake the game.

I promised that when only 2 of them left I will help them but I am not sure anymore. They are playing hard and proving that they are amazing players. I think I lost their trust in past rounds. Brian nearly talked to everyone and try to make them flip. They got Marcelo and Serg paranoid.

I like Marcelo, sometimes he gets worried for nothing. Hopefully he wont disappoint me. Rudez is really working on Serg and I think she sees Serg as an alternative to us. All we need to do is vote Leif and flush his idol.

Jeremy is getting silent recently, idk why he is acting like that but I feel like his absence made me closer to Serg. I talked to Micheal today and If he is not lying he want’s to make move at f9 too which is great. If I survive till f9 we may see a big move..

JEREMY,

NONE
LEIF,

i think this is a funny story worth mentioning.
i was doing my normal routine of going into each alliance groups i was in asking for whats the plan and michael basically told us the vote is aaron but apparently he didnt realize i asked it in the group chat and that he was not supposed to tell the s2 alliance about it lol so he somehow divulge an information that was not supposed to be known but now we knew
i still think this ow alliance will be useful to me down the line but im still part of like 4? or 5? mini alliances that sometimes i forget which one i should really be loyal to i mean these are all good fall backs should one alliance has to fail
rogue vote successful, sorry Aaron i love working with you this time around but the numbers are stacked against us. now to work on mike/marcelo and sell sergiu so we can bring back s2 alive and then maybe get a co out this time

Hey logan. If someone were to use an idol and i rogue voted will my vote count or not?

Ok thanks, so tricky lol

Ah but yeah it makes sense

this is gonna be tough. were not quite certain about how the vote is going to be but Lister is 100% sure it’s gonna be Brian. Im not sure how much Naomi trusts her but if it’s any indication the Co is definitely toying with us and giving us a lot of names. If this works I’m definitely gonna be happy as to what the outcome is

7.113 Round 11 Immunity Challenge

Viewers getting your first look at the new Spacko tribe. . .Aaron voted out at the last Tribal Council and became the first member of the jury.

Individual Immunity Challenge II: Guess That Mustache

Christmas–er, Movember, came a little early this year.

Michael, I am taking back the talisman. Immunity is back up for grabs.

This is one of only two challenges to have been played in SCWL over the past six seasons. This is Guess That Mustache.

You have been provided with sixteen partial mustaches.

However, there is some assistence for you in this challenge. You already know the twist for this round, but it is time for our viewers to find out. . .

For the first time since the SCWL Prequel back in 2009, loved ones are being brought into the game. However, rather than becoming contestants at the start of the game, these loved ones will only be sticking around for this challenge.

Ten out of the twelve of you provided names of known loved ones and/or invited them into the group. They have been messaged with the other half of each of the sixteen mustaches.

Work together and you will most likely succeed in this challenge.

Unlike most challenges in SCWL, this one is straightforward.

You or your loved one will submit to me a list of the names of thirteen celebrities and three characters who are bearing mustaches. For each one you get right, you score a point.

The player who guesses the most mustaches correctly wins immunity and is guaranteed a 1-in-11 shot of becoming the SCWL All Star champion. Losers go to TC where somebody will be joining Aaron on the jury.

Oddly enough, Michael and Jeremy who finished in the top two of the previous challenge, are currently the only two without a loved one properly submitted. Jeremy has forfeited this challenge, and if Michael can submit a name by when I wake up in about eight hours, his partner will receive the partial mustaches at that time.

TIEBREAKER #1: Guess how many points will be scored total in this challenge by all players combined. Closest without going over wins the tiebreaker.
TIEBREAKER #2: Guess the total number of ‘like’s for all of the comments combined at the last Tribal Council. Closest without going over wins.
TIEBREAKER #3: Number your rock-paper-scissors picks one through five before like in past tiebreakers. Best-of-three for picks 1-3, and picks 4-5 serve as tiebreakers.

Your mustaches and tiebreakers are due by 3:30am eastern Friday.

Good luck.

P.S. Winner of this challenge gets a minor advantage in the next challenge.

P.P.S. Plugging your mustache fragments into reverse image search may be pointless. Once again, I spent hours and hours screencapping each individual fragment and putting them into reverse Google image search myself.
7.114 Round 11 Tribal Council

TRIBAL COUNCIL #12

(BRIAN)-(EFE)-(JEREMY)-(LEIF)-(LISTER)-(LYNDSAY)-(MARCELO)-(MICHAEL)-(*NAOMI*)-(RENEE)-(?RUDEZ?)-(SERGIU)
XXX
(GLORIA)-(EAMON)-(MORAY)-(SHERI)-(JESSICA)-(KJ)-(JASON)-(DAVE)-(HEERAL)-(FIONA)-(CAMERON)-(CHRISTIAN)-(AARON)

You must answer your questions in order for your vote to count.

BRIAN,

1. Somebody from the former Ky tribe went home at the last Tribal Council. Was that an individual vote or do you believe that Co is sticking together?

2. And if Co is indeed together. . .what do you do to break them up?

EFE,

1. Loved ones came and helped you with this challenge. How big of a contributor was having last season’s runner-up to help you with this challenge?

2. Everyone in this game finished 9th or better in this previous season. Do you think strategies are changing just so players can finish better than their previous season?

JEREMY,

1. Once again, you found yourself away from the game for a day or two. Is it still early enough in the game where that will not kill your game, or do you re-enter camp being paranoid about your position?

2. The Spacko camp overall has been really quiet. What do you make of that?

LEIF,

1. If it’s you tonight. . .would you understand?

2. The Survivor on television loads the game up with as many idols as possible, almost to the point that it paralyzes the game. In this season we have voted out eleven players without idols really being a major topic at Tribal Council. Is Survivor tougher when fewer idols are in play?

LISTER,

1. Same question. How is it to play SCWL where game-changing items are tougher to come by and do not clog the game?

2. Is it overwhelming to know how many different paths you could take to get to the end of this game?

LYNDSAY,

1. The former Co consists of seven players. Last season we saw a former tribe of seven players stay together to the end. What is the biggest concern when sticking to the end with such a large group?

2. The one thing everyone here has in common is that they have lost this game after the merge. Do you think players will be making the same mistakes post-merge as they did in their original appearance?

MARCELO,

1. Do you find people are approaching you more this round compared to last round?

2. Do you think players are looking at you as a target?

MICHAEL,

1. How much are players telling you “so-and-so will do this because they did such-and-such when they last played”? Or is everyone disregarding the idea of analyzing players based on what they did the first time they played?

2. What are the relationships like at this point in the game?

NAOMI,

1. With the help of ORG veteran Justin Thomas, you once again have the talisman around your neck. Was this win necessary for you or was it more to block somebody else from getting immunity?

2. This is the first time ever that we will have a jury with eleven players. Does that make each future juror seem less significant when you vote them out, or do you take it seriously how you vote someone out?

RENEE,

1. You saw your name written down four times at last Tribal Council. Do you expect to see your name come up again tonight?

2. The main reason for why all players were invited back is that you are all players who put themselves in a position to win a final vote. Are you noticing that there is truly no goats to drag to the end?

RUDEZ,

1. Everyone here has survived the pre-merge in two seasons now, but the post-merge phase is something that has eluded all of you. Why is the post-merge phase so dang tough compared to the pre-merge phase?

2. What is more overwhelming? The strategic aspect to SCWL or the plethora of moustaches thrown at everyone in the past immunity challenge?

SERGIU,

1. What is the biggest challenge of the post-merge phase that is never discussed?

2. What is your criteria for the vote this round?
When you vote, please do so in the following manner:

VOTE: (Logan)
REASON: Is your person deceiving? Is your person a big threat? Is your person somebody has stuck around for far too long? Is your person going home tonight? Is your person Logan? I win!

Naomi is immune. You cannot vote for Naomi. Everybody else is fair game. Between now and 4:00pm eastern Saturday, it is time to vote. Spacko tribe, you’re up.

ME: A big theme so far is how bonds from past games could cross over into the second half of this game. When two of the five SCWL 2 players receive virtually all of the votes, the answer becomes clear. The newly created dynamics of this season will be the most important thing to doing well in this game. How you work those dynamics will be interesting to watch play out.

7.115 Round 11 Blog

LOVED ONES

I may as well get that out of the way. We had never done Loved Ones on SCWL before. I thought this would be the right time to do it because it would perhaps be the only time where virtually all contestants were guaranteed to find someone.

For future seasons, this twist may be great to use to bring in new players to the series. However, the downside to the twist is that certain players have an advantage by picking out the best challenge whore they know. Here in All Stars, I was confident there would be enough challenge whores willing to play.

And you know what challenge brings Loved Ones together?

NAME THAT MOUSTACHE

It wouldn’t be SCWL (unless it’s season one or the prequel) without a moustache challenge. Since SCWL 2, it has been kept strictly as a mini game. All Stars is all about using past challenges, and therefore all of the moustaches could stand on their own.

I believe Max from the board game Guess Who? was one of the trickier ones. There was Robert Duvall as Stalin too. This is the most popular challenge we have done in SCWL, and why it is brought back every season. It’s like what Fallen Comrades was for the first four seasons of Survivor, or their Second Chances tradition.

Unless Steinbrenner’s wishes from beyond the grave are signed into international law, I highly doubt that Name That Moustache goes away.

Justin Thomas, a veteran of Facebook ORGs for about as long as I, and who successfully evaded playing in SCWL 5 or 6, teamed up with Naomi. This happened to be the only challenge where SCWL winners (Moon, David, and Rob) were allowed a chance to play once more.

I’ll dig up the full list of Loved Ones soon.

NAOMI AND J-T WIN

The twist is that Naomi could find a new loved one to use for the next challenge (a not-so-fun one). She elected to bring back the latest Spau boot to not be brought back for All Stars, Brenda.

More on Brenda for next round.

KY DOING NOT SO WELL AS INDIVIDUALS

Not only are the Warriors doing terrible when it comes to getting a majority, but their stranglehold on winning challenges has disappeared. Michael/Jeremy won Sports Day, and now here we are with Naomi claiming individual immunity yet again. Granted this time it was not basd on MGI or luck.

In the words of Austin Powers, Ky has “lost their mojo”.

LEIF’S CONFESSION CIRCULATES

This backfires much sooner than any of us anticipated. Last round Leif finally admitted to Rudez, Brian, and Lister that he was one vote away from the rogue idol. If he gets one more rogue vote and survives this TC, The Warriors could all be immune due to two idols and a special talisman. Why, they could even hang on to one of two idols and try to rally back-to-back. If Co is forced to vote out their own twice, Co may fracture permanently and give Ky the upper hand.

I am not a contestant within the dynamics for this season, but if I see numbers at 8-4, I would start playing the idols within our alliance and hope to mount a rally. It has worked in Survivor before, and with SCWL forcing the majority to turn against each other, many sub-alliances can be exposed.

But that’s the catch. Ky does not have the second idol yet. They need Leif to survive this vote and rogue his way to an idol. Can it be done?

A SECOND ATTEMPT

Many Co members discuss Brian and Rudez. Marcelo and Michael acknowledge their SCWL 2 friend Leif. All of the Co members want to help the Warriors individually, but the merge was too crazy for any of them to jump ship.

When you’re in the second round of a merge, players tend to have a much clearer head and know what they want. When do you jump to the eight from the four? Wtih such a big alliance, you know it has to break down because nobody wants to be number six, seven, or eight in an alliance.

I think part of it may be that Brian, Rudez, Lister, and Leif aren’t exactly the type in the minority who you can control. All four are very strong players, and tough to beat when in power. I think some people from Co do not see it as an acceptable move at this point because they want them weakened some more.

However, you cannot be complete jerks to them. You must anticipate everyone else is talking to them, and therefore you need to make yourself an attractive option for the future.

As Efe put it, the minority are so demanding to get the majority at times that it sounds like a threat rather than an alliance.

“Don’t want to help me? I’ll find seven other places to shop elsewhere”.

MAD SCIENTISTS THROW THE WARRIORS TO THE WOLVES

Brian and Rudez outright plan to dupe Lister and Leif. As Efe said, he is only considering to work with Brian and Rudez until the other two Ky members are gone. This is a very very very bad place to be if you are Lister and Leif. But what can you do?

RUDEZ’S PROTEST

Ah yes. Rudez really did not want a Warrior to go, specifically the guy who would claim an idol for their alliance. She was hoping that the rogue idol could be awarded before votes were locked in, and so they could use it.

Obviously, rogue idols have never worked like that in past games. There was an amusing conversation where Rudez said it wasn’t stated in the rules, therefore it is a legal move.

Let me clear that up: It would make zero sense for the rogue idol to be awarded before the mission is complete. You don’t know if you were successful until after the votes are locked in for the round, and see how all of the votes are tallied. Otherwise, you would know the partial outcome to Tribal Council even before it was announced.

ALTERNATE FAKE IDOL PLAN INSTEAD

Once that was rejected, ditching Leif as a necessary sacrifice takes place. Brian and Rudez must have been seeing the Light, but sadly it did not involve their warrior Leif. They play a fake idol on Leif to make everyone think they had a legitimate one, and make who possessed the real Ky idol a mystery.

If a real idol was played on Leif, they knew it would activate, but would merely send home Renee. Well, that’s what they assumed, anyway.

I knew this was a huge move for them. Sure, it is bound to set up craziness as only you and your alliance partner will be in on the plan, but can you truly rally when it is eight versus three? Only Adam versus a self-destructing alliance full of inactives could accomplish that.

Lister not knowing what was happening stunned me. It is rare to not only see Lister out of the loop with the majority, but also out of the loop in the minority. Even with Naomi being immune, he is on his own.

NAOMI IS CLOSEST TO JUMPING?

It’s what the Warriors have been talking about since merge. Naomi hwas a victim of the Heeral vote. I am amazed she did not try and take control of the game. Speaking of which. . .

WHO IS IN CONTROL?

Renee is somewhat dictating who she wants to go from Ky, and Co will probably feel it is necessary to keep her happy. But the core of this group has always been Jeremy, Efe, Lyndsay, and Sergiu always works his way back in. Michael is tied to Sergiu, and Marcelo. . .I can never figure out Marcelo.

To be honest, it is incredible that Marcelo is always a huge target each round, but survives repeatedly. This is a guy who saw his own majority topple a couple of times, have everyone on his original tribes hate him, but still have numerous players stating “I trust Marcelo”.

If there is any lesson here, it is that you can only vote out one person at a time in SCWL. Interesting players are always bound to go far unless you are watching Redemption Island.

LEIF SUCCEEDS THE MISSION WHILE HEADING OUT THE DOOR

Leif rogue voted Efe, but it didn’t matter as the eight-person Co feat. Renee majority held up.

I’m going to miss Leif. Everyone thought he already had an idol, but it turns out they were one round too early. Leif with a real idol for once would have been an interesting scenario. Despite spending a round on Co, Leif’s loyalty was ultimately to Ky. Michael and Marcelo did not put up much of a fight to keep him in the game.

It was almost as if it was a cautionary boot. He was in the minority, but the strong presence of SCWL 2 in the game as well as idol prospects are what sent him out the door. In other words, he was a victim of rumours and assumptions being made rather than facts.

Leif was one of many Ky members to send in confessionals, and it was neat to see one of the more unique journeys in SCWL All Stars. Sure, it wasn’t as dramatic as Cameron’s, Fiona’s, or Dave’s, but Leif definitely had his own little side quest going on.

THE BIG PAST PLAYERS IN THE MINORITY KEPT OVER THE SMALLER PAST PLAYERS?

Rudez, Brian, and Lister have much bigger reputations in SCWL than Leif or Aaron. I never thought the smaller names would go. This must be the first merge in history where huge threats on the bottom are not immediately taken out. Even SCWL 0 saw Simone go home first at the merge.

CRAZY POST-MERGE AND CHALLENGES UP AHEAD

Sports Day and Moustaches may be all fun and games, but the brutal test is about to begin. With numbers now at 8-3, expect things to start cracking. The craziest post-merge phase ever is about to begin!

7.121 Previously on SCWL. . .

– The Co Seven and Renee formed an eight-person at the merge, and so far have successfully picked off two of the five Warriors of Light.
– And the minority was weakened further as Brian and Rudez elected to withhold the idol from their allies, and let their two closest allies take the fall.
– However, not all hope is lost. Several Co members are interested in ditching their own members, including Naomi. The Ky Warriors are still eager to flip back DQ, Efe, and Lyndsay to their side.
– But if they don’t flip, what drastic measures will the minority need to take?
– Eleven players remain; who will be voted out this round?

7.122 Round 12 Confessionals

BRIAN,

“But there’s no way I can not play the idol now. Unless I play a fake. But that’s really mean” – Rudez Merks

Tribal Council #12 Postmortem: So after revealing the idol to Leif and Lister we acted of course like we normally would, begging people to stay in. Lyndsay with some help managed to get the vote off of me and onto Leif.

Naomi was the only Co I think to know about the idol and the plan was the idol would activate and she would vote out Lyndsay (force her to play her idol as the case may be.) But that sucks, and the Mad Scientists got to thinking…will anyone want to work with us in our alliance of 4? No.

Would the two of us be better off with Lyndsay gone or not trusting us? No.

Will we feel like s— for lying to Leif and letting him go? Yes. And it was a risk…all info pointed to Leif but we couldn’t be sure…the point is, we weren’t going to win unless certain people trusted us and 12th place and 3rd place mean exactly the same thing to us!

Lyndsay knows I know she has the Co idol, but that’s all good…hopefully no one knows where the Ky idol is right now! Somehow we pulled through this round still holding on to the talisman and the idol, and we made some friends in the process. It’s still an uphill climb, but we can do it! Mad Scientists to the end!

“Rudez did all 27 seasons.. she surely has at least one mistake there… so make a shorter list with no mistakes and immunity could be urs” – Sergiu Zablau

Challenge from Hell Confessional: So here’s an interesting dynamic…Rudez and I may very well be the only people trying for immunity, but of course we work so much better together than apart.

This morning she told me she was going for all 27 seasons, so I knew my strategy would have to be do around 5 seasons perfectly and hope she makes a mistake. Then somehow we formed an agreement where I have her double check all my answers against hers (she informed me I was doing 6 seasons not 5).

So we would know that my answers are 100% correct hopefully and then she would have to go and double check all of her own answers beyond S6 herself. Based on the fact that every time I typed up a season to check against hers they would disagree in around 3 or 4 places, and the error was always mine, I am not too optimistic about winning, short of her making a dumb mistake like putting the name Fabio in or something like that.

UPDATE: While writing this confessional I learned that she had made a major mistake on All Stars, including Jenna Morasca despite her quit, so she had to redo season 8, and somehow I found myself doing it so she could check her answers against mine instead of doing it again…That’s right, I just did more answers than most of Co will do and the only person who can benefit is my opponent in the challenge. And I only made 2 mistakes, compared to her 0 mistakes! So at one point I expected to use my Doubler, but based on the way Rudez has attacked this, I think it’s best it does not get played and I can fight for immunity next round (maybe with Rudez’s help!)

Co is afraid that Rudez will win and be safe for the next 3 rounds and I hear I may be a target now if she does…We still have a couple tricks up our collective sleeves though…Mad Scientists to the end!
“Go Big or Go Home” – Mad Scientists (multiple occasions)

Tribal Council #13 Confessional: Let’s see…what’s happened since our last confessional…not too much. Rudez pulled the most impressive challenge performance since Andrew in F3 of season 4. Maybe one of her letters was wrong, but I really doubt it…

Ordinarily I would have gotten praise for my list, but basically that was all Rudez’s credit too. So the doubler gives Rudez immunity times 4 and enough security to go and make a move. So I was always safe no matter what it looked like…if the votes were on me, either I would get the talisman or the idol, and honestly I was leaning talisman…keep our hidden weapon hidden and let Lister go home.

Yesterday morning, I woke up and Rudez was all excited about the possibility of voting of me (!) in order to attend the make up tribal council. Meanwhile, I was still talking to Co as though I was going home and I noticed a pattern…everyone, even Naomi, was talking as though Co would be the top 7.

So I went back to Rudez and said that the idol might be wasted…unless…this is crazy…you saved our foe DQ and guarantee this Pagonging really happens! (Sorry Jeremy)

Go Big or Go Home, we needed to do something, so we made sure the votes were on me told Lister and set things in motion.

So I had tickets to go to a Boston Red Sox game with my brothers and drove there, a 90 minute ride or so. I get to lovely Fenway Park and see a message from Lyndsay…”Rudez is f***ing you over and you better hope the idol she claims to have is real, and everyone knows she doesn’t have one”

(Actually this is about 12 messages condensed for your viewing pleasure)

So being at the game, I made a mistake and assumed that Rudez actually was telling people about the idol and I admitted to Lyndsay the idol was real. I talked to Rudez and found out she was actually doing nothing (relatively speaking) and I tried to softly backtrack on my idol statement “maybe she’s bluffing”, but nope, she decided to vote Lister.

I guess what actually happened was that Serg suspected that one of us must be playing the Ky idol and told Lyndsay to have her investigate and she hit paydirt!

Although she did not share said paydirt with Serg. So the Red Sox blew a 5-2 lead and lost the game and I drove back home. While I was driving tribal results were posted and it was glorious! Or at least so I hear…by the time I got back I was kicked out of the tribal group and maybe I’ll get to see what I missed when the blog came out.

Lyndsay was pissed that we wouldn’t trust her with the idol especially after she told us about her idol. (Lyndsay, the short version why, other than me respecting Rudez’s wishes comes down to one word…Efe…when I mention possibly voting Marcelo to him and him only, and Marcelo knows I’m targeting him a few hours later…I do trust you at this point, more than Rudez does (go figure) but this was a very delicate move and I needed to stay!)

So I guess the new tribal had decided to DQ and Rudez pulled out the talisman making Co really scramble, and let’s see what happens now…she claims the first person to approach her with a plan gets her votes, and hopefully somehow we can pull out of the with the numbers we need to move ahead…I may be going next round and Rudez right after that, but if we do, we went down swinging! (ironically the last 2 batters for the Sox went down looking haha)

Mad Scientists to the end!

EFE,

confession: This vote is gonna be either Brian or Lister. I can’t decide which one will be better because Lister is def. not close to me and brian is both a challenge and social threat. I want to make a move at f9 to take out Naomi because our alliance with sergiu lyndsay and jeremy might be threatened by her. Micheal shares the same opinion with me about big move and I think Marcelo will be down for that too.

I can take Lyndsay and last remaining Ky probably Rudez and vote Naomi. After that we go with our original plan and hopefully I will have a safe trip to final 4. I also consider replacing marcelo with jeremy because If Jeremy makes it to F4 he will definitely reach to F2. It’s a bit early to talk about this but it’s good to have a plan. I am feeling sorry about Rudez because she really put effort more than any player in this game and now I don’t think she will have what she wants.

The thing is she won’t be satisfy unless she wins and no one will take her to end after she proved she is a threat. I think she ruined her own game. She should have played a different game after post-merge. Maybe less aggressive and trying to get in to Co, form little bonds… Of course I can’t know whats gonna happen. Maybe she will outlast me

Round 12 Confessional:

Leif, Lister, Aaron… I am so sorry my friends about not playing my idol on you! I’m especially sorry to Leif and Lister for having to play a fake idol the previous tribal! When I told you I had the idol, I truly intended on using it cause that’s what felt right! But I spent the entire day thinking how it could gain us numbers and I got nothing! Maybe if I had played it, something exciting would have happened, but I decided to be selfish and try keep it for myself or Brian later in the game. Only time will tell if this was the right move or not!

This challenge is my challenge! If there is one thing in life that I’m good at, it’s sitting and concentrating for long periods of time on tedious work. Having won it in Season 6, I went into it pretty confident. I woke up to the challenge being posted and immediately started working on it in excitement (yes, I’m insane)

So I did the entire 27 seasons at once.. went through wiki carefully and put each season next to each other in an excel spreadsheet in the correct order. I then changed the letters of the names by doing it row by row and using the find and replace function. When there was an opportunity for an overlap in letters, I used placeholders (numbers or symbols). After I did that, I put the symbols in. To do that, I copied everything into a word document and every fourth word I’d quickly put 1, 2, 3 or 1, 2, 3, 4 between the letters depending on which set of symbols I was doing. It was then just a find a number and replace it with a symbol time. Do that 4 times and the task was done

The first time took me 7 hours to do it.. but after I figured out all the shortcuts, the second time took me 4 hours. I did it a second time to check for mistakes, which I just used an array in excel to check with. There were 1 or 2 symbol mistakes, but the only big mistake I originally made was to include Jenna Morasca from All Stars.

Knowing that other players would be checking my work, and that they didn’t put much effort into the challenge themselves, I decided to keep all of my 27 seasons in.. scare them away from checking them all with the vast amount of work that they’d have to do! Logan, if no one finds any mistakes, and you feel the need to go looking, then this will be your punishment for ignoring me the other day

So I’m holding thumbs that I win this challenge.. I certainly believe that I deserve it. I have mad respect for Brian, Lister, Naomi and Brenda for at least attempting the challenge! Why come play a game if you’re not here to play??? I understand some people had work, but I could have completed at least 5 or 6 seasons if I had work.. for some (and I say some) people it was just completely laziness, and I’ll remember something like this if I end up on the jury! I did check all of Brian’s answers against mine and fixed all his mistakes.. so at least if I don’t win immunity, he definitely will as Naomi, Lister, and Brenda’s lists are riddled with mistakes.. but here’s hoping I can be immune for 3 tribals (the doubler plus my talisman)

Oh, there have been rumours going around that if I win this challenge, Brian will be in trouble cause he’s so close to me. Cause now I’m all threatening needing immunities to keep me alive! But yeah, I think it’s a ploy to get me to hand over my talisman to him. I think I’ll call their bluff and leave the talisman where it is for now. We’ll see how it goes.. losing Brian will be a much harder hit to me than a talisman or idol.. emotionally and in the game!

Ky forever.. and Mad Scientists forever!
Round 12 Confessional again:

Weeeeee I have 4 forms of immunity.. and by the end of this round, I will most likely have 1 left.. and I’m okay with that!

So it’s taken me far too long to realise that Brian and I are not getting to the end of this game.

Things could’ve been way different if I had just told DQ about my idol and played it on her just after the merge. And maybe if I had played the idol on Aaron and then Leif.. but I didn’t, and I know that makes me an idiot. I thought I had other options. Turns out it was just hot air blown out of people’s asses.. And now I’m pissed!!!

I was given the impression that Brian and I would be making the final 6 with Lyndsay, Efe, Sergiu, and Jeremy.. unfortunately, no one knows about this.. especially since they will be voting out one of the 6.

So I have no allegiances there anymore. I still love Lyndsay to bits and maybe we’ll meet up later in the game again.. but this is where I part ways with her. I will be playing my KY idol on Brian, who I’m 90% sure is the target (since everyone thinks the KY idol is not in play).

I will also be voting for Brian, ensuring that in the revote, I will be there to mess things up. The revote should be the 7 Co, DQ and me. If they come together and turn on DQ, I will play my talisman on her.

This may get her to forgive me for before and get us a number back. Brian and I have been saying for the past few days, Go big or go home… and that’s what we’re going to do! Lister showed how amazing he is after I told him about the idol by reacting well and not going crazy (yet!). He is disappointed that I didn’t use it sooner, but I’m sure he’ll be happy that I’m using it this time.

I’m lucky to have aligned with people who understand this is a game and that people make stupid decisions. So here’s to causing as much chaos as I possibly can.. should make for a decent show

7.123 Round 12 Immunity Challenge

Viewers getting your first look at the new Spacko tribe. . .Leif voted out of the tribe. He becomes the third player from SCWL 2 to be eliminated from All Stars.

Ready to get to this round’s doozy? Naomi, I’ll take it back. The talisman is back up for grabs.

The twist from last round involved Loved Ones. Because Naomi won last round’s immunity challenge, Naomi has elected to bring in Brenda to participate in this round’s immunity challenge. Brenda of course being the seventh place finisher from SCWL 5. She was voted out one round after Naomi in that season.

Oddly enough, the challenge for this round is one that Brenda was really close to winning in her season.

In SCWL 0-4, the first post-merge challenge with eleven players was an intense concentration and endurance based challenge.
In SCWL 5-6, the third challenge after the merge vote was the intense and endurance based one.

This season, both of these facts are true as we are not only doing this challenge with eleven players remaining, but this is also the third individual immunity challenge.

INDIVIDUAL IMMUNITY CHALLENGE III: Survivor Concentration

– I bet you guys wished you were in Clark’s All Star right now forming a list of Survivors, eh? Let’s get to it.

– You will put together a list of Survivor names (only the US franchise please).
– You will start with the first season and work your way through to the end of the twenty-seventh season.
– In each season, you will start by only listing players who were eliminated on an odd numbered day (day 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, etc.) in their order of elimination.
– Once you have gone through all of the players eliminated on an odd numbered day in that season, you will then do the same process for players eliminated on an even numbered day (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, etc.)
– After that, you will move on to the next season in order.

– For the third full name you write down, you will alternate between the symbols “$”, “!”, “~”, and “%” after each letter. Do not worry about periods in a player’s name.
– For the fourth full name you write down, you will alternate between the symbols “&”, “$”, “@”, and “(” after each letter. Do not worry about periods in a player’s name.
– For the fifth full name you write down, you will restart the rotation by using the same method as the first full name.
– Which means the sixth full name would use the second full name’s method.
– When you reach the end of a season, you restart by using the first full name’s method for the start of the next season.

D!E%B@B! E%A@T!O%N@

– For each name, you will change every letter in a player’s name forward an additional letter in the alphabet.

– For every season, exclude any player who made it to Final Tribal Council in that season.
– For every season, exclude any player who was eliminated in a double boot episode in that season.
– For every season, exclude any player who quit in that season.
– For every season, exclude any player who was medically evacuated in that season.
– For every season, exclude any player who has “Junior” in their name.
– For Palau, do not include Jonathan or Wanda.

You will privately message me your final list by 5:00am eastern Tuesday.

That will conclude part one of this challenge.

PART TWO

I will post everyone’s lists right away in this group. All eleven players and Brenda will examine everyone else’s lists. You can flag up to two answers that you think are incorrect in each player’s lists. That means you have a total of 22 flags to use.

You will have until 8:00am eastern Wednesday to flag incorrect answers.

I will then examine all of the possible incorrect answers that were flagged. If you made a mistake, you are out of the challenge and ineligible to win immunity.

The player who creates the longest list without making a single mistake wins immunity. Safe from the vote. If everybody has been proven to have an incorrect answer in their list, nobody wins immunity.
.
.
.
.
.
So now our twist for this round. The eleven of you have been given a Doubler for this round. You must either use it on yourself this round or it gets thrown away.

If you do not use it, the item is tossed. It does not impact the game at all.

If you use it, and you win this challenge, you are safe from not one. . .but TWO Tribal Councils in a row.

If you use it, and you lose this challenge, you are not only guaranteed to be vulnerable at this Tribal Council. . .but at the next Tribal Council as well.

So if you use it, you either double up being immune, or double up being vulnerable. This item was risky, but Andrew used it in SCWL 4 and it worked out quite well for him.

We have done versions of this challenge very similar to this in the past. The only player left in this game who has come out victorious was Rudez. She won immunity because Nick accidentally messed up Sean Rector’s name. Rudez went home the very next round in ninth place.

Good luck.

Okay, lists are in.

Apologies to Renee as I wasn’t able to get around to answering a question she had right before the deadline. It just happened to be a stretch where I was out and couldn’t get onto a computer until 3:00am eastern, and pretty much had to get to bed right away.

All eleven of you and Brenda now can flag up to two incorrect answers in each person’s list.

You have until 8:00am eastern Wednesday to flag the incorrect answers.

TIEBREAKER #1: Guess the total number of ‘like’s in the comments section for the last Tribal Council. Closest without going over wins.

7.124 Round 12 Tribal Council

TRIBAL COUNCIL #13

(BRIAN)-(EFE)-(JEREMY)-(LISTER)-(LYNDSAY)-(MARCELO)-(MICHAEL)-(NAOMI)-(RENEE)-(**?RUDEZ?**)-(SERGIU)
XXX
(GLORIA)-(EAMON)-(MORAY)-(SHERI)-(JESSICA)-(KJ)-(JASON)-(DAVE)-(HEERAL)-(FIONA)-(CAMERON)-(CHRISTIAN)-(AARON)-(LEIF)

BRIAN,

1. SCWL 2 players were heavily targeted last round. Do you worry that pattern will continue?

2. This challenge a twist in the form of the Doubler was on the line. Rudez was the only person who used it. Do you think everyone else figured Rudez would win it, or is the possibility of sitting out the next challenge too risky for everyone?

EFE,

1. For four consecutive Tribal Councils, former Ky members have gone down. And judging by how votes were split when Aaron left, Renee is with Co as well. With Rudez wearing immunity, will it take a miracle for Brian and Lister to stay?

2. Not only is Rudez safe for this Tribal Council, but she is safe for the following one. Does that impact everyone’s game when there is someone who you know for a fact will be safe for two rounds?

JEREMY,

1. But even that is not entirely true. Cameron had one duel where he gave Marcelo immunity, but chose to give the special talisman to Rudez too. You may very well have three rounds of Rudez sticking around and potentially stirring up the pot. Does that make Brian and Lister even more vulnerable than they were before?

2. What is the biggest concern when you enter the middle of the merge phase? Even though Survivor promotes big moves, you still have another eight rounds of play before you get to the end. Make the big move too late, and you could be going home quickly.

LISTER,

1. You and Brian find yourselves in a familiar position compared to SCWL 2–you two were down just one lousy member entering merge, and the five-person majority stuck together to boot you guys as the third and second to last members of your group. Is it a bit scary how similar these two situations may be playing out?

2. In SCWL 2, you only outlasted Brian by this round. Do you think even that specific part of history will repeat, or will you be the next Ky to go? And does it make it harder to campaign against someone like Brian who you have spent both of your SCWL games with?

LYNDSAY,

1. Is it possible to look ahead too many moves down the road right now?

2. And what is the disadvantage to spending too much of your focus in the short term rather than the long term?

MARCELO,

1. Is it possible to create new bonds this late in the game? Or are your personal relationships with each player cemented by this point in the game?

2. Has it surprised you in a game where tribes were constantly shuffled and dissolved that tribal lines have stayed intact since the merge?

MICHAEL,

1. When you see Rudez put together a list of nearly 400 names together, does it give you almost Dave Bronson flashbacks as you think “damn, an immunity run could put us all out of the game?”

2. What is your biggest concern heading into this vote?

NAOMI,

1. Your Spau buddy from SCWL 5, Brenda, re-entered this game for one round. Once again you two finished just short of winning this same challenge in SCWL 5. Can you describe how difficult a challenge like that is for those that haven’t spent hours and hours and hours putting a list together?

2. Now you’re on your own. No Justin. No Brenda. No immunity around your neck. Is this a bit of a shock to your system to get back into game mode like this?

RENEE,

1. This round has had a big theme regarding challenge prowess, but as you know from SCWL 4, challenge prowess has nothing to do with winning a jury vote. How irrelevant are challenges when it comes to making it to the end of this game, really?

2. Where do you fit in with this Co dynamic?

RUDEZ,

1. Do you come from the South Africa on Earth, or the one in a parallel universe?

2. And is this the big break you have been waiting for all game? Because not only do you have the Doubler, but you still have that special talisman to use after that.

SERGIU,

1. We are about to enter the final month of this game. Is it a bit surreal to know that this marathon SCWL journey is approaching a finish?

2. Why should the others keep you tonight?

Alright. When you vote, please do so in the following manner:

Idol play on Brian: **FLY-FLY-888-FLY-FLY**

Co, you have been incredibly boring to play with, and I don’t like being bored.. and I’m infamous for making moves when I’m bored! So you all forced my hand, I thought I’d speed the game up a little… if this is real, have fun! If not.. uh, don’t vote me out?

XXX
(GLORIA)-(EAMON)-(MORAY)-(SHERI)-(JESSICA)-(KJ)-(JASON)-(DAVE)-(HEERAL)-(FIONA)-(CAMERON)-(CHRISTIAN)-(AARON)-(LEIF)

I will try to make this quick here. Remember to answer your question and vote by 11:59pm eastern Friday.

EFE,

1. For the second season in a row, you are apart of an 11-person TC where an idol is successfully activated. Both times you had to stay behind for the re-vote. How much of a game changer will this vote be?

JEREMY,

1. There was a couple of idol plays in your season. Both times you managed to avoid voting for the person who activated the idol. What is it like to stay behind and re-vote for somebody in your own group?

MARCELO,

1. Nobody ever activated an idol in SCWL 2. Eamon was blindsided, Lister and Noah both wasted their idols. How is the dynamic different for this vote?

NAOMI,

1. If it’s you this round. . .do you blame yourself, the other players, the idol, or what?

MICHAEL,

1. If you had self-voted, you wouldn’t even be here for the re-vote. Wish you hadn’t answered your TC question at all? Or is there some benefit to this re-vote?

RENEE,

1. You are the only former Ky member who is not immune. The last time you were at a TC where an idol was activated, it was Andrew who chose his own tribemate to go to the Final 3 as he left you out as the Upsa outsider. Afraid history may repeat there?

RUDEZ,

1. Rarely does a player use their own idol on another player and vote for them on top of that. This is the lone scenario where that happens. If you held onto your idol, you could have been safe until seven players remained. Why use it now after you used a fake idol on Leif in the previous round?

2. And one more question I have to ask you–this is the first idol play you have been apart of since you, Efe, and five others were apart of the ridiculous 3-2-2 re-vote that got Travis out. Do you expect this re-vote to be equally crazy?

SERGIU,

1. Is there any way you can be truly prepared for a new vote after an idol was activated?

Okay. You cannot vote for Rudez. Everybody else is fair game. Between now and 11:59pm eastern Friday, it is time to vote. Those of you from the Spacko tribe, you’re up.

And we’re deadlocked. Our first deadlock in the post-merge since. . .wow, since Michael and David deadlocked at the Final Four of SCWL 2. As you know, a deadlock is broken by past votes. Michael went home for having two additional past votes than David.
.
.
.
And history virtually repeats itself. With only one past vote from the pre-merge phase, Michael, that is enough. Only two times in seven seasons have past votes decided who has gone home when more than two players attend TC, and you happen to be the victim both times.
.
Michael, the tribe (and a single past vote) has spoken.

Well, all I can say is that a lot of cards appeared to be put on the table for this round. What will you do with all of this information? With several attempts to shake up the game this round, it may work. . .or it may not. That’s what always makes Survivor a complicated game.

7.125 Round 12 blog

J-T DISSING THE CHALLENGE

I’ll start with the most irrelevant piece for this round. Justin goes from being a winning loved one to mocking the challenge which Brenda has to do.

For some reason, this sticks out in my mind very clearly. He would be stunned if someone could successfully complete this challenge.

Oddly enough, Brenda loved doing this challenge. Granted she failed horribly at a variant of it in SCWL 5. Regardless, she was willing to retry it and come away with the win.

RETURN OF THE DOUBLER

It is a huge part of the round, but yet I forgot to include it in the teaser for last episode. D’oh.

This was featured in SCWL 4, and has not been seen since. In SCWL 4, Andrew and Clayton won it as a reward halfway through the merge, and had to decide whether or not to use it in the following challenge.

Win, you’re safe for two TCs. Lose, and you’re vulnerable for two TCs.

Everybody was given one for this challenge, and had to decide whether or not to use it. I thought three or four people would consider taking the bait. Particularly those on the bottom. It turns out only Rudez was willing to take that chance.

VERY SIMILAR TO A CHALLENGE RUDEZ WON IN SCWL 6

This is why I thought Rudez would have been eliminated at the start of the merge. Knock her out before we get to the really intense challenges. However, she made enough bonds to keep her alive up until this crucial juncture. You may notice in my boot list rankings that Rudez is as high as seven. That is because I thought this would be the beginning of an immunity run.

Now we are at a challenge that was Rudez’s only individual win back in SCWL 6 which she destroyed everyone to make the game tougher for Sad Pudding.

The other players couldn’t help but watch as Rudez tried to put together a list of 27 seasons’ worth of contestants. Viewers thought getting more than two or three would be impossible. Brian tried to keep up to help verify Rudez’s list. Sadly he cannot quite do the job as his own list is the only one to feature errors.

RUDEZ WILL BE IN A HUGE POSITION OF POWER

If Rudez succeeds, she will be immune for two TCs, have a talisman of her own, and an idol. She can rogue vote for these three TCs and pick up the rogue idol to use.

Therefore, Rudez is guaranteed to be immune for four TCs, and possibly five if she can win this challenge. All without ever having to win an additional challenge. She was playing for a spot in the Final Six.

Isn’t that just insane?

RUDEZ WINS. GAME IS FLIPPED.

No one thinks she has an idol because she played a fake one to trick everybody last round. Only Brian knows the truth.

She can hang onto all of these immunities, or she can save both Brian and Lister. What is she going to do?

SERGIU DISMANTLES KY’S ADVANTAGE

I thought Brian and Rudez’s only error up to this point was screwing up voting out Christian instead of Renee before merge. Here, Sergiu uses Lyndsay to trick Brian into outing the Ky idol.

It is very odd to see this whole situation play out with Lister not really being acknowledged. I am curious what Lister’s role was in this TC.

RUDEZ SETS UP A PLAN TO SAVE RENEE

It never seemed like Renee was interested in working with Brian, Rudez, or Lister. Especially after the confessional regarding Brian pre-merge. This plan was very complex.

Attract all votes on Brian. Vote Brian. Play idol on Brian. Brian and Lister head back to camp.

For the new vote, play the talisman on Renee. Force Co to work against each other to split the tribe. Someone in power should go. Renee flips permanently, and we only need one more number. Lyndsay as a fifth, and either Naomi, Efe, or Michael as a sixth.

JEREMY A HUGE ENEMY OF KY

The Warriors did not take too kindly to Jeremy’s words of hoping for a Pagonging. This is starting to remind me of Final Four where Jeremy thought he was ahead and securing the win, but not realizing that his own confidence could make him a target.

I think Jeremy was smelling the all star title. He might be working on a Us vs. Them mentality and making side deals quietly, but what he may not know is everyone on Co is doing the exact same thing. Absolutely nobody on Co is sitting around. They are exploring their options.

JEREMY, EFE, LYNDSAY, SERGIU CORE FORMING

It appears that way. This has been the four-person power group since Efe was drafted onto the tribe in round four. They were probably going to be the last four standing on Co if they lost a couple more times.

MARCELO COMPLICATES THEIR GROUP OF FOUR

But Marcelo. They all want to use Marcelo, and even after all of Marcelo’s bouts of paranoia and destroying his own team, they all believe they can trust him. Marcelo may be seen as a potential goat for them.

MICHAEL IN REAL LIFE

Michael continues to be quiet. Last round we left off with him being in the loop because of Sergiu, but also keeping contact with all SCWL 2 mates. Lister, Brian, and Marcelo. And the recently departed Leif.

I think Michael knows he has the pieces to stay alive until the end, but thought he was in such an uneasy dynamic that he has yet to solve how to put it all together.

TO THE MAIN EVENT!

Rudez plays the idol successfully on Brian. 8-1-1-1 vote. First part of plan works. Rudez now only guaranteed to be in the top eight. Brian and Lister head back to camp. But who was the third?

LYNDSAY REVEALS HER CARDS?

This is not good. Lyndsay exposes she was in on Ky’s plans. She may need to switch permanently to the Warriors alliance because I thought it would be really tough for her to re-enter Co. She needs other players to support Ky this round, and really make this a brand new game.

Otherwise, she could find herself going home soon. Rudez will need to help her with winning immunity next round.

I think she could have survived a re-vote at a nine-person TC. Her not being in on the plan would be enough for Jeremy, Efe, and Sergiu to trust her. Yes, she met Rudez in rela life, but there is still enough doubt in the minds of other Co members for her to hide her bond with Rudez.

THE REAL TC

The last time an idol was activated, Dave was eliminated 1-0. Before that it was SCWL 6 where Travis went home 3-2-2.

SCWL 5? It was Moray voted out 2-1-1. Later it was Sergiu voting out Gloria 2-1.

So I really did not know what to expect. Eight people remaining behind for a new TC never happened before, and Rudez’s eighth vote was there just to screw with everyone.

RENEE RECEIVES THE TALISMAN

And so Rudez risks her talisman on Renee. Every former Ky is safe now. Rudez is down to only guaranteeing herself a spot in the round of nine just like that.

She voted for Naomi. Someone from Co who was supposedly on the bottom, and most likely to jump to Ky. Naomi seems a bit powerless in the Co dynamic. So what the heck happens with the re-vote?

NAOMI VS. MICHAEL

Out of all six people who could receive votes. . .Efe, Jeremy, Marcelo, and Sergiu are spared.

Instead Naomi and Michael, the two biggest fringe players on Co, are split at 4-4.

Efe, Rudez, Marcelo, and obviously Michael voted for Naomi.
Sergiu, Jeremy, Renee, and Naomi voted Michael.

Co has to reveal several rounds early what their true intentions will be. Everybody wanted a safe vote, and surprisingly only Renee gave a clear reason for her vote. She just wanted their most inactive member to go.

For everyone else? Nobody really gives an answer. My guess is that somebody took a shot at Michael for inactivity, and everyone who wanted Michael to stay just happened to agree on another name. Probably whatever name Rudez was willing to type down.

Would Renee have gone if she did not have the talisman? Probably not. This TC would have a very intriguing outcome if we saw Michael or Naomi with the talisman. No idea what happens then.

TIE AND THEN DEADLOCKED

The four who vote Michael might have seen this coming entering the re-vote. Past votes were most likely reviewed.

Rudez gets a bye for voting Naomi because she is on the bottom. Everyone knows she is trying to shake things up.
Marcelo gets a bye for voting Naomi because he has been very close to Michael dating all the way back to SCWL 2, and perhaps the tightest duo here in SCWL All Stars.
Michael gets a bye for voting Naomi because who else can he vote for? He is about to die.
But Efe?

Efe once again frustrates his own alliance members. He went off script. This is not allowed. Efe has provided a ton of confessionals and thus we can track how much he is really controlling things, but I thought this was a move which would put him on a hit list even before Rudez and Lyndsay.

Efe is on the verge of being banished. He messed with the Heeral vote, and now he is messing with the Michael vote. Sergiu and Jeremy may go after him. And I doubt Marcelo would really care enough to save Efe.

MICHAEL THE FIRST PERSON TO BE ELIMINATED IN A POST-MERGE DEADLOCK. . .TWICE

The only other real deadlock in SCWL history was in SCWL 2 at the Final Four when Noah flopped his vote 20, 000, 000 times before eliminating Michael instead of eventual winner David. That is how close Michael was to winning SCWL 2.

Here Michael doubles the franchise record by being eliminated due to a deadlock twice. This situation was much tougher to predict. A F4 deadlock is understandable. Here it is just a series of crazy moves, and he is punished for it without a unified reason.

Going home in a 4-4 deadlock when eleven people remain post-merge will be tough for anyone to grasp. Naomi was targeted numerous times pre-merge, but possessing a talisman for multiple TCs is what saved her skin.

I reviewed past votes for Michael and Naomi a couple times because I forgot Michael ever received a vote, but knew Naomi’s name had been pitched at TC nearly every round this season.

BLAME FIONA

Somehow Fiona voting out Michael in a boring 6-1 vote is directly responsible for who went home in this deadlock.

First Idol Activation TC: Fiona is saved by Cameron, and Dave goes by default.
Second Idol Activation TC: Brian immune, re-vote between Michael and Naomi, Fiona’s past vote against Michael determines outcome.

Fiona’s involvement in the two craziest TCs is definitely an unexpected twist.

IS CO OVER? ARE WE STARTING A NEW GAME?

I think so. Lister is at the bottom, but that is because he is not super tight with anyone. It really is anyone’s game at the moment. SCWL All Stars is finally heating up! Everyone has a chance, and many possibilities for new alliances could be on the horizon.

– With a monster performance to earn herself immunity from the upcoming Tribal Council, Rudez is finally able to put a long term counterattack in play.

Immunity Challenge XIV: GamespIGNing..

Winner: Brian.

Did Marcelo Play a Fake Idol: Surprisingly, no.

Vote Count: 8-2 (Lister-Marcelo)

7.131 Previously on SCWL. . .

– For the first half of the game, the Ky tribe was on an absolute roll.

– But a Double Immunity Challenge twist led to them winning only one of two immunity challenges, and have been on a slide ever since.

– What was once an even game at 8-8 turned into a lopsides 8-3 affair as five Ky members bit the dust in a row.

– A concentration-based immunity challenge combined with everyone being offered to use the Doubler for this round provided a potential shake-up.

– Rudez took full advantage of it as she not only used the Doubler, or the fact she probably spent tens of hours on the challenge, but also that her idol and talisman guaranteed her a spot in the round of seven. That is if she could hang onto these items.

– But that was not the case as Rudez was eager to save her closest ally Brian. The Mad Scientists were guaranteed to be immune.

– And things got more interesting when eight people, including the immune Rudez, all voted for Brian. Lyndsay flopped her vote, and Lister threw away his own vote. Brian, Lister, and Lyndsay returned to camp.

– The real Tribal Council started off with a bang as Rudez gave away her special talisman to Renee. Despite Renee switching sides at merge, Rudez chose to save Renee.

– Finally it was time to vote as a surprising 4-4 split caused fractures within the core Co alliance. Naomi and Michael were tied after Efe angered Sergiu and Jeremy by trying to save Michael.

– And a re-vote would change nothing as we headed to our first ever deadlock since Michael was ousted in SCWL 2. Ultimately, history would repeat as a past vote from Fiona would send Michael home.

– It is clear the game has shifted. Will the Warriors of Light begin a rally? Or did Rudez waste all of her lifelines?

– Ten players are left; who will be voted out this round?

7.132 Round 13 Confessionals

BRIAN,

“Well, that’ll make me feel A LOT better about betraying Co” – Lyndsay Sherry

Tribal Council #14 Confessional: So I really wanted to win this challenge and it turned out to be pretty easy to get a perfect score if you put the effort in…for the record Rudez and I did our work separately, only bothering to compare notes on the first tiebreaker, where, by comparing we realized that I included a PC game originally, and she also only found 30 games originally, but by comparing lists I found a way to get 31 which I needed to win. The hosting account getting shut down really sucks, but the fact that some people may not realize what tiebreaker I blew Rudez out on (Pick 5 integers…) is not a bad thing.

And I won and certainly this is the round that Co will break up, no? Early signs pointed to no…Jeremy said he was thinking of making a move, but then went to bed, and Serg and Efe in separate conversations basically said Lister now and move later. And I politely told them, Ok, but I’m not voting Lister. And I talked to everyone…at one point early in the day Rudez said something about rather going with Jeremy’s side, so I talked to DQ, feeling like I was going through the motions and saying well, Marcelo has past votes so maybe something can be done in that direction. Lo and behold something did happen! DQ and Naomi agreed to vote Marcelo giving what would be the votes to save Lister. However, in the meantime I had talked to Lyndsay and really sensed that she was going to work with us and that having Marcelo was really important to her game.

So the Mad Scientists faced an awful dilemma! All along we said we would be loyal to whoever turned on another Co first, but working with those guys didn’t promise to get us close to the end the way working with Lyndsay might. And I thought I could get through a round without a guilty conscience! The only good thing about this is it gives us a chance to prove our loyalty to those we want to work with. So Rudez and I started a thread with Lyndsay and we hashed everything out, including the fact I would vote for someone I never imagined that I would, and ultimately deciding that an idol play would not happen, based on Serg hinting to me and swearing to Lynds that his vote was Lister. And this one is going to hurt the most for me if it does happen. 2 SCWL games Lister has been loyal to me to the end, and what do I do…damn…

So if it turns out Serg is lying and Marcelo goes…no big deal to me. For me it’s all about gaining and/or keeping the trust of Efe and Lyndsay, and that we have hopefully done. With her idol and the past vote situation, 4 in 9 is “in” so we have that as a backup plan. Who knew that when the great split happened I’d have to vote out a Ky, but for me it’s all about getting to the top 2 and winning…Mad Scientists to the end!

EFE,

Confessional: I didn’t get to write a confession because I was struggling with my mid-terms. Rudez made an incredible move last round, the best she could do with what she had.(only flow was she could have involved Lynsday.) I really respect her and she is a true all-star. She is awesome her move created shifts in the dynamics of CO. She said that she wanted to show us what will happen at F7 and what I assumed kinda happened.

Micheal voted out I knew that Jeremy and Sergiu are not gonna vote for Naomi. I voted for Naomi because Naomi is their possible F3 ally and she has Lister and DQ as HER numbers. I kinda put myself in a bad position by voting her but I did what is the best for me. It had nothing to do with CART. I will probably be loyal to sergui, jeremy and Lynds.

Bad news are now Naomi will want us gone and jeremy said that she won’t vote Lister or DQ. That means that If Brian wins she is gonna vote me marcelo or lyndsay… Well, after this how can smo blame me for making a move against her and let rudez and brian move forward one more round! I know voting Naomi or smo else from Co will picture me as a flipper but It’s a move that I must do. The most favorable target is Lister right now. He is KY and he won’t work with me.

JEREMY,

Round 13 Confessional.

Another fairly intense round. It is becoming increasingly difficult to play both sides of CO. I believe that Lister should be voted out 6-4. With the 4 Marcelo votes being Rudez, Brian, Lister and Naomi. If it does work that way it would be awesome as Naomi was okay with me voting for Lister to create more confusion but under that assumption that Renee would be voting Marcelo. However Sergiu and I talked to Renee and she had concerns about the relationship between Naomi and Lister. I have also made Rudez believe that I am on board to keep Lister but I did not promise my vote so when the votes are read I should be covered from all sides. Naomi realistically has few other options than to stick with us and it will appear that we did not betray her trust and we should build back some trust in our alliance with Efe and Lyndsay.

I was mad that Efe voted for Naomi last round as I do believe that this round would have been easier if the vote had been clean. It is also the third time that Efe has lied to me and that is not a good thing for an alliance and at this point I’m not sure what my ideal end game is. I am fairly confident that there is no room for Brian or Rudez and I will push hard to get one of them out next round.
LISTER,

Well that sucks. I’ll get you my confessionals from the merge on sometime tomorrow (probably). Thanks for the All-Stars invite Logan. I had fun while it lasted

NAOMI,

Ok so first off, sorry it took so long for me to do one! I’m not good at confessionals haha! You should know this by now! But I need to start telling you stuff so you don’t think I’m fluking my way through the game again like last time. So ever since the Heeral blindside, I have pretty much only trusted Jeremy and Serg on Co. Going into the merge with numbers was fantastic because it gave me a great spot for while….

It also really helped that Rudez alienated DQ so much that she was happy to jump ship immediately. Which is why Aaron went instead of the unanimous vote for DQ like people had discussed. To me she was a solid vote who would stick by me over anyone else and would make the alliance be 4v4 instead of 4v3. I’ve also been talking to Lister since the start of this game. We have shared info back and forth the whole time. Him coming into the merge without the numbers was also great because I knew I could steal him and get him with me as well.

And that’s also partly why I wanted Aaron gone. It took out one of his numbers making it easier to steal him. The issue has been not letting people know just how close we’ve gotten. But I’m the one who leaked to them to play an idol on Leif, but Rudez chose to play the fake instead. Then this round things got interesting. I knew that Rudez had the idol and was going to play it. Which is why I had to vote Brian. If I didn’t my core of 4 wouldn’t have had the numbers in a revote… Which is what happened to Michael without Lyndsay being there.

I also knew she was considering using her talisman on DQ… So I made sure she thought that DQ was the target even though I was sad about it…. And it worked. We got out both the idol and the talisman and my core remained intact. It all came down to one vote thank gosh. People started regretting not taking out Marcelo this round because of past votes… but we need him for next round. He has more past votes than anyone. If we can’t get the 6 votes and it’s going to be a tie… It needs to be between Marcelo and someone else to guarantee he goes home.

So the way it currently stands is a move should be made next round… The 5 I am pushing for us Jeremy, Serg, DQ, Lister and myself. And I sit between the 2 pairs… I’m not sure where I’d go from there with them. I’ve been with my S5 boys from early on… but Lister was in PA with me… And we had the deal of ‘not having to play with each other in the game, but having each other’s back as long as possible, until we could definitely play without being targeted.’ Which is also why I was willing to be a captain in round 1. Cam made the mistake of telling me he wasn’t too fond of Lister, and he had played too hard too fast again. So I made sure I wasn’t going to be on his tribe and picked up Lister as soon as I could to give him that slight safety.

Sorry it’s all out of order, but I knew I should clear some stuff up so I don’t look like I’m not playing. I’ve been playing hard for a few rounds now I’m determined to get better than last time, and now I’ve made it so far and with people I trust… I want to make it all the way. The further I get in this game the more I want to get to the end. Hopefully with Lister by my side. I’d be pretty damn impressed if we managed that. So let’s hope everything works out next round. And thank gosh I’m on the side with the one last idol It feels like a good spot for now… The best bit… everyone seems to think I’m on the bottom. They have since the Heeral vote… So I played up on that part. I’m ditzy, not dumb.

RUDEZ,

Hey I’m sorry your account for terminated! Your groups should be disappearing soon so if there’s anything in there you want to archive, you should

I’ll send in my challenge answers and confessionals when I can get to my computer again.. It will be soonish

And yay now I’m friends with the real Logan Saunders
SERGIU,

Confesional Got back to uni two days ago, and I finally found some time to make another confessional. What I would like to start with is how much I LOVE PLAYING DUMB…lol… I guess there has to be some sort of truth behind me being so belivable when I say I have no idea whats going on and all… Rudez and Brian literary don’t suspect anything about me being one of the people in charge as I got Lynds Jer Naomi DQ on my side… maybe even Efe but with his resent move, im not sure anymore.

Rudez and Brian are my friends, that’s true, but I wont let our friendship ruine my game, and Rudez said it herself, she wants me to ly to her.. Little does she know, regarding the game, I’ve been lying to her since we started talking strategy. Also I got a little closer to DQ… she aint as bad as I thought she was and even if we don’t plan to go to far together, yet, you never know, cuz with Lynds and Efe’s constant vote changing, Jeremy and myself are wondering if it wouldn’t be better to go with Noami Lister and DQ…

Also regarding Rudez move… she outed me as being the only one who doesn’t keep anyone confortable?! Overall she was right about people keeping others confortable, what she didn’t knew, is that not only did I keep one person confortable, I think I had a role in keeping everyone confortable as I was talking to pretty much everyone… and I still cant belive we managed to keep a 7 person group united… haha ..

Also she was so predictable by giving DQ her neckless… but little did she knew that we informed Renee before that we would say her name, because we knew that was what Rudez wanted, and I am glad her plan failed cuz had we not done that… Naomi could have been send home (P.S Fiona thx a lot for casting that vote against Michael, didn’t know u would have such a big impact on the game, haha). I hated voting for Michael, but I didn’t really have a choice, as it was either him or Naomi… and I had a deal with Naomi, Michael we just have been working together since he joined Co, and we had no official alliance… but I hated voting for u Michael, even if im sure ur mad at me…lol

As far as jury management, even tho that’s still way ahead, ill defenetly be screwed again, as people will be bitter… even tho I have no official alliance with others than Lynds Efe Naomi and Jeremy… I know they will be resentfull cuz I have to vote for them, and I don’t think many of them expect me to do it yet. Hope Brian doenst win, cuz if he does, Jer and myself will have to take a big decision, and it wont be pleasant…

7.133 Round 13 Immunity Challenge

INDIVIDUAL CHALLENGE IV: Survivor Name Endurance

Heh, just kidding.

INDIVIDUAL CHALLENGE IV: Gamespotting

The earlier seasons of SCWL had the occasional video game-based challenge. Although video game-based challenges have been discarded over the past few seasons, I thought I would bring back one that was considered a favourite at the time.

Here’s how it works:

On gamespot.com they have reviewed thousands of home console and handheld consoles over the past two decades. These are featured reviews done by their staff members.

For this challenge, I will give you a list of targets to meet.

e.g. Find three games that have a combined review score of less than or equal to 16.7. The player closest to the number without going over scores ten points. Second closest scores 9 points, third closest scores 8 points. . .last place scores 1 point.

Since this is a video game challenge, you probably can guess who won this in SCWL 2. . .that’s right, Dave Bronson won this challenge.

The player who scores the most points wins immunity and is safe from the vote. You will be guaranteed a spot in the final third of this game.

– If multiple players submit the same target amount (16.7), then the number of people who tied for it would split the points for the number of placings.

e.g. If three people tie for first, then 10+9+8 = 27 points divided by 3 = each person gets nine points. Fourth place would then get seven points.

– If you do not submit an answer for a target, you will receive zero points.

– You can use multiple ports for the same game.

e.g. the game Sunset Riders was released for Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. You would be allowed to use both review scores.

– You can only use review scores that are from home consoles (Wii, SNES, Xbox, Playstation, etc.) and handheld consoles (Vita, Gameboy, DS, etc.)

– You CANNOT use review scores that are from PC and mobile devices.

– Each review score you submit MUST be accompanied by a direct link to the page.

– Yes, Gamespot’s layout since we did this challenge in SCWL 2 has changed. It is a bit dumber of a layout now.

– You cannot use the exact same review twice.

e.g. You cannot use Sunset Riders for SNES multiple times during the challenge.

– If players find a combined review score that exceeds the target, then they will finish at the bottom for that target.

e.g. The player who found three games that have a combined review score of 16.7, they score ten points. Those who found a lower score would score the next highest number of points. Those who found a higher score would then score the next highest number of points after that.

So 16.7 would beat 16.6, then 16.6 would beat 16.8.

LIST OF REVIEW SCORE TARGETS

1. Find three games that have a combined review score of less than or equal to 16.7.
2. Find ten games that have a combined review score less than or equal to 99.4.
3. Find two games that have a combined review score less than or equal to 3.7.
4. Find six games that have a combined review score less than or equal to 24.8.
5. Find eight games that have a combined review score less than or equal to 55.4.
6. Find four games that have a combined review score less than or equal to 11.2.
7. Find five games that have a combined review score less than or equal to 41.8.
8. Find one game that has a review score less than or equal to 1.3.
9. Find nine games that have a combined review score less than or equal to 58.7.
10. Find seven games that have a combined review score less than or equal to 37.9.
11. Find three games that have a combined review score less than or equal to 10.2.
12. Find five games that have a combined review score less than or equal to 20.7.

TIEBREAKER #1: Find as many games as possible that have a combined review score less than or equal to 50.0. The player that finds the most games with a total of 50.0 or less wins the tiebreaker.
TIEBREAKER #2: Guess how many players will score ten points at least once during the challenge.
TIEBREAKER #3: Uhhhh. . .pick five numbers. The lowest non-duplicated number wins the tiebreaker.

This challenge is due by 5:00pm eastern Monday. As some of you know, Monday is always the busiest day for me during the week. For some reason, the lone constant at my job is that I work Mondays, and it is also the only day where my date and I are free to have a date night. So I will scramble to get the results and TC posted between when I get off work and when my date comes over.

Just thought I’d finally address that because the past few Mondays in this game I have been receiving messages of “where the heck are you?”, as well as that one Monday where everyone was confused as I was literally thirty seconds away from getting TC posted, but then there was a sudden eight hour delay.

7.134 Round 13 Tribal Council

(*BRIAN*)-(EFE)-(JEREMY)-(LISTER)-(LYNDSAY)-(MARCELO)-(NAOMI)-(RENEE)-(*RUDEZ*)-(SERGIU)
XXX
(GLORIA)-(EAMON)-(MORAY)-(SHERI)-(JESSICA)-(KJ)-(JASON)-(DAVE)-(HEERAL)-(FIONA)-(CAMERON)-(CHRISTIAN)-(AARON)-(LEIF)-(MICHAEL)

Remember to answer your question and vote by 11:59pm eastern Wednesday.

BRIAN,

1. Last round you did something that you were unable to do in SCWL 2–have an idol within your former tribe, and have it used successfully. Has anything changed since then? Or did you need immunity this round just as much?

Thank you Rudez for using your idol on me! I would like to imagine that the idol changed the dynamic just enough so that I wouldn’t need immunity, but after watching so many votes come in for me last round, I’m glad I can be safe this round!

EFE,

1. No twist for this round. Does that make everyone feel a bit more relaxed or much more stressed?

I would rather see a twist but I think ‘no twist’ is much more relaxing.

JEREMY,

1. Evidently, former Co members haven’t participated in challenges as much as former Ky. Is that because the majority is feeling confident enough not to participate or are the Ky players truly more skilled at challenges?

I think it is a mixture of a few things. But for me the main thing is that with the competitors left in the game it is now essential to have a perfect score if you just want a chance of having immunity. That’s usually a lot of effort and I would rather just play around the necklace. That said I think with so many players still left only the players in the minority need to be concerned.

LISTER,

1. The only one from the minority Ky members that is not currently holding immunity. Is it a certainty that you will then go home because Co is unwilling to turn on themselves this round?

A certainty? God I hope not but it definitely does not look good for me.

LYNDSAY,

1. You were the only Co member who was not left behind for the real Tribal Council of the round. Do you think that puts on the perimeter of Co?
Hey, I voted how I said I was going to vote… that was a messed up round! I don’t think it had anything to do with perimeters… just people personal preference. Oh well…

To quote this season’s most talkative personality at TC’s “IDK”

MARCELO,

1. Why are you going back to your SCWL 2 ways of not being willing to elaborate upon questions at Tribal Council?

1- for a lot of reasons.

NAOMI,

1. You barely survived last Tribal Council’s deadlock. Does it make you more secure because those who wanted to keep you are all still around or do you feel more in danger than ever before?

Both at the same time I guess? Safe in the fact I know who had my back and that they’re here with me but nervous because not everyone was at that tc. And I know I’m on the chopping block in some people’s eyes

RENEE,

1. Are you worried that your personal life may be impacting your long term position in this game?

Of course I am ! I’ve certainly not had the time for challenges in All Stars that I had in my season and it’s frustrating because I really wanted to sink my teeth into this game wholeheartedly – which would include the challenges. At least most know that I’m not a threat to win any of them thus far so that doesn’t hurt me I would hope. I continue to build relationships however and this has served me well thus far. Fingers crossed;

RUDEZ,

1. You went from holding the Hogeboom Talisman and an idol in your possession to now holding neither. Starting next round, you will be vulnerable if you do not win immunity. On the other hand, if you kept both items, you would be here until the final few rounds of this game. Was last round really that important for your chances of winning this game?

1. Put simply, I would rather play a sport with a team that supports me and lose, than with a team that won’t even pass me the ball and maybe win (if I get lucky and someone gives me a freebie and possibly hell freezes over)

SERGIU,

1. Have the events from last round changed any of the relationships heading into this Tribal Council?

I guess… Rudez wanted cracks and couldnt find them? Well dont worry she brought the whole wall down….lol

EFE: Wrecking rudez.

When you vote, please do so in the following manner:

SERGIU: Hehe… Bye Lister:)

After a crazy Tribal Council in the previous round that tested relationships. . .Ky’s fortunes do not change.

For the third round in a row, a SCWL 2 player goes home. And if the majority sticks together, that streak may continue for another round.

You may not be aware of this, but you have now eliminated exactly two-thirds of all opponents. That’s right. Sixteen out of twenty-four players have fallen. And that takes us to our next big twist: A live event will begin at 10:00pm eastern Thursday. Afterwards, there will be a semi-live immunity challenge. This is the final live event of the game until the Final Immunity Challenge. See you then.
7.135 SCWL 7 Round 13 Blog

NO TWIST? WHY?

After throwing one twist after another after another after another, and sometimes additional ones in the same round, I knew I wanted to do one round where I said “you know what? How about we do nothing, and you can’t rely on change to occur for once?”

What I knew that would also accomplish is that players would probably assume a huge twist is coming in the following round. If they assumed that, they would be right.

But little did I know two major real life twists would occur, and one of them would creep into the game.

UNPLANNED TWIST #1–MOVING

Okay, so maybe the “Only Leif switches in Opening Day Part Two” is the first unplanned twist, but moving was truly unplanned.

In August 1st of 1999, I moved away from the BC coast. My parents had lived there for forty years, and it is the only place my siblings have ever known. For the twenty years leading up to that, my parents always received within the same ten mile radius.

One year earlier, my dad’s mill shut down and he was forced to move to the Okanagan into his sister’s place. My mother was stuck raising four of us for a year until my parents found a place for us to live in the Okanagan. I had just turned eight once we moved. Initially we lived with my dad’s sister and her husband for a month. Needless to say it was a very weird time.

Anyways, we moved into our house in August of ’99. The landlord lived in Alberta. In 2008 the landlord moved back into town. My parents were worried that the landlord would want to sell our house. During SCWL 5, they made an attempt to sell the house, but ultimately there were not any buyers. It was the landlord’s wife who was pushing to sell the house. There was a new agreement for us to live there until at least 2014.

Then in May of 2014, things had changed drastically. The landlord’s wife had become seriously ill with cancer. She was having a tough time just functioning in every day life. Therefore, our house was immediately put up for sale. Over the next month several prospective buyers would come in and tour the house. Some would be a recently immigrated group of fifteen to twenty people hanging out on our porch outside over thirty minutes after the tour.

A very weird experience.

Thankfully our landlord liked us and put in a good word for us to move into what has now become our current place of residence. If you’re wondering why the second half of the episodes were delayed by over a month, it is because a mixture of moving and lack of motivation got in the way. This feels like the shortest summer I have ever experienced in my life.

UNPLANNED TWIST #2–MY HOSTING ACCOUNT WAS DELETED

If you were pissed off that TC questions had not been posted in these episodes for the past seven or eight Tribal Councils, this is because of my hosting account getting deleted. Your next point might be “well, why the heck are we seeing it now?”

1. I had been neglecting to archive the TC chats when each round ended. Between my Mayrathon, work, volunteering, and all other crap I was dealing with for the past month, I simply did not want to put in the extra time to archive TC questions.

In rounds ten through twelve I even neglected to archive the confessionals right away. Luckily nearly all of the confessionals were recovered. The TC questions not so much.

2. SCWL 7 was the first time I held TCs in their own group individually rather than the tribe group. Once TC ended, I would always kick out everyone out of the group except my hosting account.

3. The TC groups were listed as secret. Therefore, with the hosting accound deleted and members being removed from each TC group, it was impossible for me to recover the transcripts. From now on I have to use my real account.

I am so sorry that we will never get to see the TC transcripts from the past few episodes. Unlike others, my hosting account was not so much deleted/reported, but rather Facebook told me “we detect it is not a real profile, and thus it must be switched to a Page rather than a Profile”.

On a positive note, I am happy this occurred in SCWL All Stars rather than SCWL 6. The incident was much easier to manage. A huge headache, but still manageable.

THE FALLOUT FROM THE MICHAEL VOTE OUT

The fallout appeared to be insignificant. Sure, there was the shock of everything went down, but judging by the lack of confessionals, it really did not change anyone’s game.

NAOMI’S CONFESSIONAL

And so we hear from Naomi. It turns out Naomi has been playing up the position of being on the bottom to the Ky tribe. Well, only Efe views Naomi as a target. Others are suspicious of a potential relationship between her and Lister. Overall Renee, Jeremy, Sergiu, and Lyndsay all appear to be a core five with Naomi. Efe and Marcelo, the two who happened to go after Naomi last round, are on the outs.

Will this really be our Final Five? Will they use Efe and Marcelo to use against Rudez, Brian, and Lister?

The only flaw with Naomi’s plan is replacing Lyndsay with Lister in her Final Five. She thinks she can pull it off, but the Co dynamic overall will never let that happen. I wondered if any of the suspected bonds would be put into jepardy just because of actions like this where the campaign too hard for someone who is dead in the water.

SERGIU READY FOR A DOSE OF DEJA VU

Whoa, Serg. You’re already looking ahead to a Final Two spot and preparing to lose another jury vote? The game is far from over. There are plenty of chances for you to be voted out.

That’s another thing about ORG games that expand beyond the fifteen or sixteen round format. Once you get through twelve or thirteen rounds of play, your mind is preparing for the endgame. There are games like Kodi’s where you have only eighteen rounds for a forty person cast. That doesn’t happen here. We only had two rounds with a double elimination. There are eight more people to vote out. The minority just has to flip two people and this game is turned on its head.

Instead of calculating all the ways he can lose on Day “39”, perhaps Sergiu should explore paths where can be in the winner’s circle. We know Sergiu is a very good player. Is there enough time for him to fix his game?

RENEE IS IN, BUT MARCELO IS OUT

Interesting. Renee flips from Ky, and is marked as a player who everybody on Co wants to be in the Final Four or five. Talk of Marcelo being in the end game has dropped since Renee joined them. Can Marcelo start making moves to get him back in with Co, or is his flip flop nature from SCWL 2 going to eliminate him in the exact same manner in All Stars?

SCWL 2 CHALLENGE WON BY A SCWL 2 ALUMNI

Brian picks up his first individual win thanks to Rudez’s help. For some reason Lyndsay is out of the picture for them again. She may have evaded the real TC as her and Naomi were tipped off about the idol, but Brian and Rudez were on their own once again to fight to stay alive.

The Mad Scientists are both immune. Everyone on Co wants a Ky member to be taken out before considering to work with Brian or Rudez. That leaves us with only one option. . .

LISTER GOES IN A SURPRISINGLY QUIET MANNER

Lister has essentially been SCWL’s biggest fan for the past few years. He ran the fantasy pools, he followed the games closely, we chatted about my past games, he helped recruit players for seasons through six, but things were different in All Stars. His circumstances changed in real life, and once again the tribal numbers worked as well for him here as they did in SCWL 2.

It was by no means a weak performance, but he is one of a few players this season who saw the evolution of their real life impact their ability to keep up with the more active players. Again, people like Lister and Dave were nowhere near inactive. They were just some of the players who always seemed to be a step or two behind, and could not find themselves in the right conversation at the right time.

This is what makes All Stars so interesting. In past games, I am free to blast players who were inactive or caused too much trouble at the cost of our enjoyment. But the definition of being inactive in SCWL All Stars means you still put an hour or more daily into this game. There is always praise for each player who gets voted out. I even gave Moray and Sheri a positive exit.

What could Lister have done? This was really a 6-4 vote, and all it took was one vote against Marcelo to trigger a deadlock and send him home. Naomi flipped, but that second flip could not happen. Did the Naomi-Lister bond really prevent that second flip?

Should Brian and Rudez have tried harder? It almost seemed like an ideal time to bring in Lyndsay. Because Brian and Rudez would have had a lot more control if that second person flipped. Naomi and Lister would be viewed as a pair, and whoever was the fifth wheel could be the person that Brian and Rudez use as a third. That appears to be a much better option than rallying from behind.

Sure, it may have been an 8-2 vote on paper, but this vote was much closer than any of us anticipated it to be.

RUDEZ’S IMMUNITY IS GONE

No more idols. No more talisman. No more Doubler. She has to win on her own from now on. The same goes for Brian.

Wait. Win on your own? Well, that may not be entirely true.

THE END OF TC

After Lister flips off his competitors, I revealed that we were entering the final 33% of the game. There would be a final Opening Day classic live event next round, and the next twist would be revealed. This is the final live event before the Final Immunity Challenge.

Co got what they want. It is just Rudez and Brian left. They eliminated five former Kys and the outsider Michael. Now things become interesting, and a brand new twist for the series will complicate the next phase of the game much more.

Stay tuned. This is probably going to be the most unpredictable post-merge phase in SCWL history. Who would be crazy enough to feel safe within this cast?

Vote Count: 5-4 (Naomi-Rudez)

7.141 Previously on SCWL. . .

– Despite the fallout from Rudez’s move at the previous Tribal Council, Co stayed relatively united.

– With two crucial exceptions. Naomi’s relationship with Warrior of Light Lister was in jeopardy, and Efe for flopping on Co for the second time this game.

– With Rudez safe no matter what thanks to the Doubler, her and Brian teamed up for Brian to win immunity. Lister was now the lone Warrior vulnerable.

– At Tribal Council all hope was lost as everybody in the game except Naomi voted out Lister. Brian and Rudez have no more buffers left.

– And with a brand new twist teased at the end of Tribal Council, everyone is on edge. What could possibly shake up the game?

– Nine players remain; who will be voted out tonight?

7.142 Round 14 Confessionals

BRIAN,

Random rules question …suppose 3 players have immunity and all vote together in a bizarre 3-2-2-2 outcome. If an idol is successful played do they go to a new TC without immunity ?

“Can I change Team Awesome to Team Drunk because my challenge mates are drunk” – Efe Karanisoğlu

Round 14 Confessional: This has been a fun round so far. The Survivor minigame was a nice chance for us to interact outside the game so to speak, even if their baseball knowledge is embarrassing. The intersection twist was good…not too drastic but it did make our hearts beat just a little faster than normal when we realized that the presumptive top 3 targets, Naomi, Jeremy and DQ all ended up in the same group.

Our fears ended when we found out what the challenge was…especially since Rudez and I basically took over our teams at the start. We would figure it out, I would set her up and she would finish the word and make team 2 lose a point. It was slightly unfortunate the teams were picked so that people in similar time zones where together, slowing things down, but we eliminated team 2 in 3 rounds, then Rudez and I sat down for our grudge match!

She took the first, then I took the next 2 as her social life got in the way. It was about this time that the thread got out of control and I decided to let Lyndsay take a crack at it (It turns out she may not have realized immunity was on the line!) Her word was not allowed, and so it was down to me and Efe…and I’m not convinced Zocors is a word, but dictionary.com says it’s OK and team 3…wins…immunity! Hopefully it doesn’t matter…Naomi should be going, Mad Scientists to the end!

Vote: (Naomi)

Reason: You keep claiming to be on the bottom but refuse to do anything about it! Maybe you were telling the truth without even realizing it yourself!

EFE,

Confession: I liked this twist, for the first time I may won an immunity and It benefit us kinda because either Brian or Rudez will be vulnerable. It’s gonna be a critical round for sure and this round is huge. I have three options Rudez, Brian and Naomi. I can get rid of Naomi and that’s the best game move for me right now but the problem is next round we will need jeremy and Serg to vote out rudez and brian. It makes the situation harder.

Marcelo came to me and told a F4 plan with me lynds himself and dq. Actually that crossed my mind too. It will be a dream F4 for me and I can only win immunity against this three. Of course Lynsday won’t like this idea but maybe I can convince her. Going F4 with power players like Jeremy and Rudez is self destruction…

Confession:It’s gonna be a crazy vote tonight! The vote is between Rudez and Naomi, we are gonna vote Naomi. We thought that Serg and especially Jeremy would use Naomi against us at some point but today he came to us and told us he won’t feel betrayed If we do Naomi.

Maybe he just felt it or thought it is gonna be him this vote. This explains that he really wants to work with us, still It sounds little weird that he kinda wanted us to vote Naomi. Now I feel sorry because Jeremy probably have future plans with us and he really want this 4 to stay together. I will feel awfully bad If I need to betray him in future rounds.

The worst part is Jeremy wants to play the *fake idol code that Lynds gave him. Even he trusts us for now, he may not after this vote. We tried to convince him not to play it but he was so eager to let his weapons go and show us he is vulnerable. I think that both Rudez and Jeremy put their powers aside to show us they are no longer threats and right now we may be the only ones who has the power ( by we I mean Lyndsay I and Marc).

After this vote everything will go crazy thats for sure.

Thank you all for a great game! I’m incredibly proud that I made it this far, especially after feeling like I didn’t deserve to last so long in my first season. I played way better this time, and I think I was taken out more for being a threat then for being worthless. I beat 2/3’s of the cast and lasted over 2/3’s of the time. I’m pretty damn ok with that.

I have loved getting to know each and every one of you, even those I have been less talkative too. I have no bitterness and can’t wait to see who will be there at the final 2. Feel free to cause more chaos now that it can’t get me

7.143 SCWL 7 Round 14 Challenges

FINAL LIVE EVENT

Viewers getting your first look at the new Spacko tribe. . .Lister voted out at the last Tribal Council.

All remaining players have now defeated sixteen of their twenty-four opponents.

This takes us to our final live event of the game (well, with the exception of the final immunity challenge).

What’s the challenge?

LIVE EVENT CHALLENGE #3: MINI SURVIVOR

This has been played a couple of times over the years.

Are you familiar with the game of Survivor?

I sure hope so.

I will ask a trivia question. The first player to answer correctly wins immunity for the round.

You will then have four minutes to vote by private message.

The player with the most votes will be eliminated from the challenge immediately, and become the first member of the jury.

All players not here presently will still have to be voted out.

Those who do not vote within four minutes will incur a self-vote.

In the case of a tie, we will immediately go to past votes (in this challenge). Player with the most past votes is eliminated. If there is a tie for past votes, we go to a tiebreaker question to determine who is eliminated.

Play continues as such until we reach our Final Two.

The seven members of the jury will then vote on a winner for this challenge.

If an even number of jury votes are cast and trigger a tie, a tiebreaker question will determine the winner.

The winner will receive a big reward along with the runner-ups which will be revealed at the end of the challenge.

(The first question will be posted in seven minutes.)

TEAM #1: SERGIU-RUDEZ-EFE
TEAM #2: NAOMI-JEREMY-DQ
TEAM #3: LYNDSAY-BRIAN-MARCELO

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE XV: Word Formation

Alright, Brian and Rudez, I will take back individual immunity.

Individual immunity is no more for the time being.

Team Immunity is now up for grabs. If your team wins, you are safe as a team. The only way it can be given up is if all three not only agree to give up immunity, but agree which team to give it to for this round.

I thought I would elaborate upon that before people wonder if winning immunity meant winning three different individual talismans.

Okay. Onwards to today’s challenge. This was played in SCWL 3 and SCWL 5. Oddly enough, nobody left in this game have ever participated in this challenge.

The three teams will compete to complete a word. Team #1 will start by adding the first letter, Team #2 will add the second letter, and Team #3 will add the third letter.

e.g.

TEAM #1: H
TEAM #2: HI
TEAM #3: HIP
TEAM #1: HIPP

Play continues as such. Each round will always end with a challenge. A challenge forces the team who just added a letter to complete the word. This is done by announcing the word as is, or adding multiple letters at the end of the word to complete a word.

I will verify the word through dictionary.com

It does not matter what type of word it is. If it pops up as a result in dictionary.com , the team that challenged you loses a point. If, however, you cannot complete the word, your team loses a point.

e.g.

TEAM #1: H
TEAM #2: HI
TEAM #3: HIP
TEAM #1: HIPP
TEAM #2: HIPPO
TEAM #3: HIPPOP
TEAM #1: HIPPOPO
TEAM #2: HIPPOPOT
TEAM #3: Challenge.
TEAM #2: HIPPOPOTAMUS.

Team #3 loses a point. Team #3 ended the first round, therefore it is now Team #1’s turn to start.

e.g.

TEAM #1: H
TEAM #2: HI
TEAM #3: HIP
TEAM #1: HIPP
TEAM #2: HIPPA
TEAM #3: HIPPAP
TEAM #1: HIPPAPO
TEAM #2: HIPPAPOT
TEAM #3: HIPPAPOTA
TEAM #1: Uh, challenge?
TEAM #3: Hippapotamus?

That is not a word. Team #3 loses a point. Team #1 ended the round, therefore it is now Team #2’s turn to start.

The first two teams to lose three points lose the challenge.

The last team standing wins immunity and are all safe from Tribal Council. The nine of you will then go to Tribal Council where one of you will be voted out of this game, and become the fifth member of our jury.

Time Limit: If nobody from a team moves within nine hours of when their turn starts, they automatically lose a point.

XXX
(GLORIA)-(EAMON)-(MORAY)-(SHERI)-(JESSICA)-(KJ)-(JASON)-(DAVE)-(HEERAL)-(FIONA)-(CAMERON)-(CHRISTIAN)-(AARON)-(LEIF)-(MICHAEL)-(LISTER)

Remember to answer your questios and vote by 3:00am eastern Monday.

BRIAN,

1. Once again you find yourself immune for the third round in a row. Where did this unexpected immunity run come from? And do you feel you needed it yet again due to Lister being voted out last round?

This immunity run? Someone played an idol, some tiebreaker luck and being the only sober person at last challenge! I’d like to pretend I didn’t 100% need this one, but the pattern of the past several votes suggests it’s a good one to have!

2. You become the second player to be guaranteed to match your finish from the previous season. How does that feel?

I guess that means I did worse than most people my first time! Seriously, with such a large and talented cast, making it to the top 8 something to be proud of, and anything I may be able to do beyond this is just gravy!

EFE,

1. This round you were hit with an enormous twist–three teams of three. One-third of the players in this game are immune, and now you are one of only six to be vulnerable. Is this the toughest Tribal Council thus far?

Yeah It was a fun twist except that I was the first one out at that mini-survivor. It’s definitely gonna be though tribal. I like everyone in this tribe and this vote maybe one of the hardest one.

2. The only person from the Ky tribe that can be voted for tonight is Rudez. Is it a foregone conclusion that she will be gone this round?

She is a huge threat and a great strategic player. She doesn’t have immunity this round. But I don’t know If these reasons are enough to vote her

JEREMY,

1. A massive twist where you need to work as a team to win, and your team with Naomi and Renee are out instantly. Does that make you concerned this round?

No. I think we were just really unorganized and bad.

2. What is your take on the first Intersection/unmerge in SCWL history?

Not a huge fan. I can see why it seems like a good idea but the structure of the challenge to determine captains definitely lowered the chance that multiple people from any minority alliance would have immunity.

LYNDSAY,

1. You disappear from challenges until this round. You were a captain during the final live challenge, and now you are one of three people with immunity. Earlier in the season you also did surprisingly well for pre-merge challenges. Where is this Lyndsay coming from?

Well, you seem to have forgotten #lyndsayisachallengegoddess! I have just been busy recently, that’s all. When I am able to compete, I do my best! Sometimes that involves winning, and other times it involves getting two challenge strikes in a row.

2. Naomi had a Mutiny Trigger but elected not to use it. Did that surprise you?

It didn’t surprise me all that much considering she was a captain and was able to pick her first player. There were not three possibilities to be on her tribe, so it was the end of the world or anything for her to have been dealt with the team she had. Honestly, I thought us dividing the teams up the way we did would be beneficial. All of the TZ people were together, but turns out that wasn’t actually beneficial to anyone.

MARCELO,

1. What in the world was with the challenge thread? The challenge nearly descended into chaos as it became near impossible to understand the conversation.

We were just having fun

2. I have never seen a group of nine players have this much fun with each other in SCWL. What makes this dynamic so special?

we all love harry potter and the word quaby.

NAOMI,

1. You had the power to potentially switch up the three teams of three with your Mutiny Trigger. How come you did not use it?

I helped pick a team… It seemed a little dumb to change it up?

2. What happened in the challenge for you, Jeremy, and Renee? You guys seemed to be out of the challenge in a flash.

Honestly I was asleep for most of so I don’t actually know what happened. This challenge was not our forte apparently

RENEE,

1. For the big twist, we played Mini Survivor. Do you think the outcome of Mini Survivor reveals anything about what may happen down the road in this game?

possibly

2. A lot of fake idols have been played since the merge, but only one real idol played. Is anybody expecting another real idol to be played?

not sure

RUDEZ,

1. You used an idol and a special talisman two rounds ago. . .both are gone, and here you sit without protection. Brian is immune. Do you think you are done? If so, how much do you regret it now regarding the use of those items? Because Brian could have been gone a long time ago if you had not saved him.

It was always my intention to use my ‘bag of tricks’ to improve my fate in this game. If I had stayed immune for 4 rounds then I most definitely would not have been saved due to being a threat. I intentionally weakened myself to show that I am vulnerable and not as scary as some people think. In the same stroke, I believe I learnt exactly how Co is split and it is this round where voting me out will be a very very VERY bad move for some people.. Voting me out now would be silly for both sides.. I’m not a threat anymore, I am no longer the enemy… I have no numbers, I have no idols.. there are people here who have both!

2. If you go tonight, will matching your performance from last season be good enough? Or will ninth place be another disappointment?

Ninth place for me is always a disappointment.. Especially since I will be leaving in the exact same way as I did in Season 6!

SERGIU,

1. The three teams appeared to divide itself based on time zones. Do you think there is any meaning to that, or was that strictly coincidence when it comes to the game?

I honestly think it was mearly coincidence…

2. You won Mini Survivor. Does that worry you it may make you a target?

It was a fun game to play, but i doubt people took it as a real survivor game with high stakes such as the titel of Sole Survivor… it was for a freaking 1st pick…lol

Okay. When you vote, please do so in the following manner:

7.145 Round 14 Blog

MINI SURVIVOR

We have done this twice over the first six seasons. It was originally done halfway through SCWL 2 where the challenge was non-live and lasted a full week. All that came out of it was Noah winning a talisman that did not impact the season whatsoever.

In SCWL 6 we did a modified version of it on Opening Day where the infamous 1-1-1 tie took place. And. . .we know what happened from there.

It was fitting for it to be played with nine players remaining. If I recall correctly, everyone except Efe and Renee were present. They were the first two eliminated. Here is the boot order for the mini:

Results of the mini

9: Efe
8: Renee
7: Rudez
6: Brian
5: Marcelo
4: Jeremy
3: Lyndsay
2: Naomi
1: Sergiu

SERGIU WINS SCWL!

Is it foreshadowing of what is to come? It would be far from the first mini to reflect how the rest of an ORG will play out.

TOP THREE ARE CAPTAINS AND GET FIRST PICK

Sergiu was a bit disappointed that he stayed up until four o’ clock in the morning to win this challenge just to receive first pick.

Sorry Sergiu, I guess I could have made the stakes a little higher, or disclose what the advantage would be beforehand and let the international players decide if it is worth the trouble staying awake.

So alas, it was our final rose ceremony of the season.

chris harrison

We’ll miss you as always, Chris Harrison!

crying tenley

Crying Tenley not so much.

UNMERGE/INTERSECTION!

Three teams of three. Everyone still goes to Tribal Council. The only difference is that players win immunity as a team, and thus three people are guaranteed to be safe. With Rudez’s Doubler worn off, she absolutely needs to win this challenge.

Everyone is eager to eliminate her.

WHY DID I DO THIS?

Mid-merge twists are very difficult to set up and work successfully in an 18-person format.

However, when we merge with thirteen players, it was very easy to spread it to a 3-2-5 format for post-merge. Yes, the team format will be in play for two rounds. I was not quite brave enough to have it go for three. Knowing how many idols and team immunities could be in play, it was too risky. Sorry.

TEAMS:

SERGIU-EFE-RUDEZ
NAOMI-JEREMY-RENEE
LYNDSAY-MARCELO-BRIAN

I thought whoever did not win group immunity between Rudez and Brian would be doomed. I thought Sergiu’s team, er, Team Awesome had the biggest advantage. Team B possibly hot on their heels.

NAOMI CAN NOW USE HER MUTINY TRIGGER

Yes, she was given time to decide if she wanted to trigger a shuffle of the teams with a very late game mutiny. I guess she was content with how the teams were divided. She had her chance to jump.

WORD FORMATION

We did this in SCWL 3 and 5. In 3 it was too quick. In 5 it was extended, and worked out relatively well.

Because of the three team format, it was whoever lost the word would lose a point. Lose three points and you’re out. Last team standing wins. It came down to the wire after Team B was whooped.

I wish we could do Word Formation every season, but besides the obvious issue of recycling the same challenge, it is tough to coordinate as it is semi-live. You need to be confident that you are at a stage where everyone playing will be active in the challenge.

Having three people work together rather than it be 1-on-1 or 2-on-2 matches made a big difference.

FUNNEST ROUND OF SCWL EVER?

It may have taken that title. That is a tough job for a round considering there are tens of rounds before it that are a huge part of ORG history in a positive way.

But man, there were still nine people remaining and the game had become really cutthroat, but everyone was on good terms. There was not a single fight all round. Nobody was angry at Efe. Inactive players, frustration with being in the minority, flip-floppers, nor the challenge created any sort of stir within this dynamic. Everyone was having fun.

Usually a couple players are really intense and fuelling the fire when we have as many as nine people left, but everyone got along really well in the same chat. Usually we have to be at the round of five or four when the majority alliance has one person willing to drop. I wish all seasons had extremely smooth rounds like this for each challenge.

I thought backlash of making people in Africa and Europe stay up until the middle of the night would trigger some fights in the group. That was swept under the tribal rug. There was not even a “what were you thinking with this three team twist?!”

And then word formation itself. Over 900 messages in that thread. What transpires next is one of the goofiest Facebook threads I have seen in my seven years of communicating with people on Facebook.

QUABY

During the challenge, Marcelo tried to submit the word quaby which is a slang term for a quarter or half-Asian baby.

Thankfully that word has not made its into dictionaries.

LYNDSAY IS A LESBIAN?

Allegedly. According to Marcelo and/or Efe?

EVERY EMOTICON IS USED

I dunno why, but the message thread is filled with roughly thirty to forty emoticons. Apparently the spirit of MSN Messenger is still alive amongst SCWL players.

WHEN DID YOU CRY DURING THE HARRY POTTER FILMS?

Because we all want to know right now. Okay, that happened near the end of the challenge. It is like the drunken crying you hear from the most intoxicated person near the end of the party.

TEAM HATES EFE/TEAM EFE’S BITCHES/TEAM LESBIAN + THE NON-BRAZILIAN SENSATION

Some of the teams underwent as many name changes as some of the toddlers at my mother’s daycare. All I know is that Sergiu’s team eventually settled on Team Awesome. I merely went with Team B and Team C for the others.

DAVID RACINE IS PLAYING

Yes, Marcelo said his account was taken over by David Racine. I did not bother investigating if David’s confession proved to be true, or if Marcelo infiltrated Marcelo’s account and blame it on David.

AMIGAS

Supposedly it is Spanish or Portuguese for female amigos. I never thought of that due to my video game nerdiness. I think only Dave would understand what I thought of when I saw the word “amigas”.

Or people who have been accustomed to computers for far too long.

GOD DISQUALIFIES EFE

Marcelo claimed that the Lord himself disqualified Efe from winning Word Formation. I really hope that the religious fanbase will help seek out new players for SCWL 8, and promote the series overall. I hear a lot of people take what this God fellow says seriously.

TEAM AWESOME OR TEAM DRUNK?

I have yet to determine this after four months.

TEAM DECEIVING DEVILS

Knowing who is on all three teams, this team nickname is not really specific to any single team in the game.

BRINY

Brian’s new nickname. I am sure he hopes it will catch on.

WOO!

Back when he had not humiliated himself by taking Tony instead of Kass to the Final Two.

LETTERS FOR MALFOY

If only those letters could have been delivered by owl rather than UPS or the local postal service. Something tells me it will require quite a few stamps.

VOICE RECORDINGS

Opening them made my Internet crash today and last night. :/

AND. . .

And somewhere in those 900 messages, a challenge was played. Team C/Deceiving Devils/Team Lesbian won the challenge. Lyndsay, Brian, and Marcelo are all immune.

Rudez is in danger along with Sergiu, Efe, Naomi, Jeremy, and Renee. Yeah. Rudez is dead.

THEN THE BLINDSIDE COMES

Although Co eliminated Lister to split up him and Naomi in the previous round to ensure Naomi’s loyalty, that was not enough.

Most of the time players are more aware of what is going to happen than I am. When we think of other blindsides in SCWL, either I am the only one truly stunned, or players know they are in a risky situation.

We have experienced a few blindsides this season, but all in the pre-merge phase. Sure, we had the really crazy vote two rounds ago, but that was all it was, really. Just a highly improbable vote playing itself out.

I think some players will say “oh, I knew Naomi was going home”, but that is hindsight. When Jeremy and Sergiu both vote in the minority, you know a huge move is being made. Those two have a grasp of what will occur 99% of the time.

I doubt Rudez, Brian, and Lyndsay thought Naomi would be eliminated either. They were relying on Efe and Marcelo of all people to flip. Neither had offered too much help since the merge, and have clear ties to guide Co to the end.

Perhaps the only one who had a handle on the vote is Efe this week. His performance this season has been very fun to watch. You can tell he is constantly evaluating the game and figuring out who needs to be in the last six or seven players left standing. He is very close to having this combination solved.

I also love how Marcelo yet again screwed over an alliance that decided to trust him yet again. How many times has he gotten away with that season? It’s incredible. Funny part is I think he has at least a couple more rounds in this game.

NAOMI OUT AND FALLS GRACEFULLY

She posted a closing statement in the Word Formation thread before departing. That goodbye message has since been added as a confessional.

If she used the Mutiny Trigger, we may have seen her with group immunity for this round, and Rudez would have been doomed to go. She certainly rallied from being the only one out of the loop with Heeral’s voteout on Co.

Somewhere along the way she fell to the bottom of the Co dynamic once more, and could have sided with Brian and Rudez. For some reason she couldn’t and was booted by the same people who would have given her a chance.

But then could Brian and Rudez swing Lyndsay, Efe, and Marcelo to their side if Naomi was with them?

Why did her relationship with Lister not trigger a 5-5 tie at ten? Why couldn’t Lyndsay flip then?

I think that may be the problem of attempting to understand the Spacko tribe. Brian and Rudez are a duo. Rudez and Lyndsay are very close. Everyone else on Co has been together for a while, but yet none of them are close within their own team. That is why they are such a confusing alliance.

This confusing alliance split in half for TC and sent home Naomi. Jeremy, Sergiu, and Renee are now in the minority. What the hell?

ONE MORE TEAM CHALLENGE NEXT ROUND

The stakes have never been higher as not only a group immunity is on the line, but also the first taste of the endgame twist.

Oh, and another crazy Tribal Council. Our third one in four rounds. This all star game is getting intense rather quickly.

*smuff*

7.151 Previously on SCWL. . .

– Since the merge, anytime a Warrior of Light has been vulnerable has resulted in their elimination. Now, only the core of the alliance, the Mad Scientists, remain.

– At the start of the round, a classic Mini Survivor game was played. Sergiu would make it to the Final Two, but this time won the jury vote over Naomi. Lyndsay made it to third.

– The top three were hit with the biggest twist since the first round as they would divide themselves into three teams. They would work together to win immunity challenges as a team until further notice. And with Brian and Rudez on different teams, the loser appeared to be doomed.

– Although the intensity of the game was picking up, everyone could not care less as Word Formation had a friendly, good-natured, goofy, and intoxicated atmosphere.

– Marcelo, Lyndsay, and Brian would walk away with immunity. After her Doubler, idol, and talisman run since the merge, everyone was ready to eliminate Rudez.

– The round was not over yet, though. Brian and Rudez began working on each of their links since the merge. Starting with long time Ky member Renee who flipped at the merge.

– Although Rudez gave Renee her talisman when Michael was voted out, Renee had zero interest in helping her, and cast a vote against Rudez.

– Next was Naomi who held a Mutiny Trigger and was the only one who did not vote for Warrior of Light Lister in the previous round. She also refused to work with Rudez, and voted against her. She became Rudez’s target.

– Sergiu and Jeremy have been able to keep control for the majority of the game. They were in an excellent position, and opted to eliminate Rudez to stop a possible immunity run.

– Rudez finally found hope as long time friend Lyndsay was in agreement to vote Naomi. But was it just a sympathy vote?

– Marcelo, who has been on the outside of the Co alliance for the past ten eliminations, decided to put himself up one rung as he was willing to vote against Naomi too.

– It all came down to Efe. Despite flipping numerous times and infuriating others throughout the game, everyone was still trusting him and counting on his vote.

– Only Efe knew what the outcome of Tribal Council would be, and stunned everybody as he chose to eliminate Naomi. It was the first time a vulnerably Warrior of Light was saved. With this decision, everybody is now forced to re-think their endgame strategy.

– Eight players remain; who will be voted out tonight?

7.152 Round 15 Confessionals

BRIAN,

“would you survive on past votes against DQ?” – Lyndsay Sherry

“There’s always hope” – Elvish saying

Round 15 Confessional: Ah, how the mighty have fallen. I felt on top of the world after the Naomi vote knowing I’d have at least a couple stress-free rounds. And we got probably the best challenge of the season (Other than sports day of course) that involved Rudez doing a happy dance upon finding the flight that meant my possible doom. (First a comment about the reward…that’s not information, that’s just cruelty!) So the presumptive vote was going to be either DQ or Jeremy…

The first sign something was off was when I spoke with Efe. He made logical sense, arguing that Jeremy was the biggest threat and that he had to go! Red flags! Sure enough, he’s targeting me and seemed to have the votes to do the job. So this is the moment where I prove myself or not…has the past 10 weeks all been a waste of my skills or did anything stick? Of course, dozens of scenarios flashed through my mind, but maybe the simplest one will turn out to work. Rudez is with me to the end, of course and Lyndsay and Marcelo have both indicated they would prefer me to be around…4 votes for DQ will save me. Hopefully Marcelo sees that it’s in his best interest and jumps on board!

Excuse me while I rant about Efe…ok, so I go, then what…you’ve lost Rudez and best case you guys can vote her out leaving you with 3 out of 6 and an idol, which, probably won’t be secret by the time Rudez and I “gracefully” leave…heh…good luck with that…

But there’s hope right? Mad Scientists forever!

“Noooo.. It can’t end now” – Rudez Merks

“Four votes Jeremy, three votes Brian, one vote left.” – Logan Saunders

Final SCWL 7 Confessional: Here I go. Efe and DQ said they’d vote Jeremy and didn’t. No one is going to flip and save me. Those past votes I got from us telling DQ about the Chris vote exactly one month ago today come back to nail me. I think DQ is making a mistake and maybe Efe too. The first couple hours were spent in consoling Rudez and scrambling, but now Rudez is asleep and 2 possible flippers have turned me down with a 3rd ignoring me. So how was my game when it’s all said and done? I played pretty strong and if Ky had the numbers at the merge I probably would still be around.

I’m not sure why I didn’t just get everyone to vote DQ, but I guess I was optimistic that DQ would really go back to Ky and if so the Mad Scientists would have been in control of the game. I hope Rudez can pull something together going forward. She should have Lyndsay, Marcelo and an idol…will that be enough?

Who do I want to win? Duh. Who do I think will win? Sergiu Who cannot win? Efe and DQ. Did I ever expect to be able to trust someone 100% in an allstars game? No. Did I ever expect that someone who I totally ignored the first month of the game would turn out to be one of my most loyal allies? No. Did I think an old season 2 foe would go down fighting for me after we both targeted each other at the merge? No. Did I expect the one person I wanted to vote out the most before the season started and did vote out premerge is the one person I want to talk with about the game? No. Did I think I was going to the final 2 even as of today? Yes. Did I think I was going to win said final 2? No. Did I just spoil my exit interview? No. Is SCWL the best ORG series in existence? Yes. Have a badly wanted to win this game for the past 2 years? Yes. Will the Mad Scientists ever cease to be a thing? What do you think…

EFE,

confession: Naomi voted out and huge obstacle is removed on my way to finals but now we have another problem. Jeremy played that idol and saw it’s fake. Now he know that either me or the Lynds has the real one and this may cause distrust or even destroy CART. The good side is I don’t think they have much options after Naomi is voted out and I will continue working with them. Lynds haven’t confessed she has the idol but they must predict that she has it. My plan for this round is to vote Rudez because she is a threat, we can’t let her go further. Also I feel like Lyndsay shifted little to her side. Lynsday wants DQ next but it’s not a good idea so we may not vote same this round. The dream final 4 would be me Lynds Marcelo and DQ but It may be hard for me to break the promises I made.

confession: We have to keep up Logan, so many crazy things happened and since I guess my allies don’t send any confessional you must be curious. This round Lynds wanted DQ, I wanted Brian and Marcelo wanted Jeremy out. Then team rudez and lynds voted DQ but Marcelo and I really wanted to keep DQ because Reene is a dream player for f4 and I love her spirit. She is really cool.

Then I had to convince them to vote Jeremy because Jeremy clearly has less past votes than Brian. I also voted Brian and I didn’t tell that to Lynds. I know she felt horrible but she did same to me on Jessica vote. She lied to me all the time. I think we are good know because I am honest to her and told her that I am concerned about her and Rudez’s relationship. Marcelo knew about the plan because we kinda planned together. Now we will get info from both sides.

After the votes are read imagine the hatred I received, especially from Rudez! I can’t wait to see how she expressed her hatred towards me. It’s sad because we get along really well as a person. I def. not gonna change my vote and I am set on brian. He is a challnge threat and he needs to go. Rudez threatened me but she can’t do anything. Now Jeremy, Serg completely trust me and I got Lynds and marcelo. I really want DQ to trust me too because I want her in F4. Next round If Jeremy goes I think we will remove a huge threat. I like Jer but he can’t hide that he is a challenge threat. Also we had a random f4 alliance with me marcelo serg. and reene. That’s so weird too! Dynamics are shifting fast in this game. P.S: Rudez needs to CHILL!!!!

The information we received was interesting because at first I thought you were saying that we are gonaa have F3 but then I remembered that you will never make f3. This season is full of twist and f3 would be the biggest one. That will trigger a change in most peoples plan. Even you didn’t mean that It’s still good If we have a round without immunity. Today everyone is chilled and Rudez is better. Too bad that none can take her to end.  I love her as a person but she is too ambitious as a player.

Also I think this season is exactly like season 6. I feel like I had this chance to experience the same scenario and correct them. Me, Lynds and Tim(Marcelo) were the swing votes and we had stuck between Rudez ,Nick(brian) and Matt, DeAnne, Rob and Cameron. ( I am not gonna name them because calling smo Matt in scwl 7 may hurt their feelings ) Well we didn’t voted out Rudez this time instead we voted Rob ( Naomi). Just like our original plan in SCWL 6. Now we are gonna get Nick(brian) out. History repeats itself!! Hope this doesn’t necessarily mean that I am going to fail again :)itself!! Hope this doesn’t necessarily mean that I am going to fail again

Confessional:

The moment I found out that Efe would be replacing Nick in All Stars I’ve wanted to throw a tantrum! And now, now I am so close to tossing the toys out of my cot.. cause I absolutely HATE working with Efe!! He is the WORST person I’ve ever worked with in any game of Survivor.. and having to work with him twice in a row may be the worst PUNISHMENT anyone could ever bestow upon me!!

I’ve never met someone who’s made so many ILLOGICAL decisions in my entire life (okay, I know a ton of druggies and Efe isn’t that bad but still!) The first moment that Efe isn’t safe I will VOTE HIM OUT… in the most brutal way I can think of…

It is sad that All Stars is currently being run by one of the worst players I’ve ever seen.. and it’s purely because he went into the merge with numbers, and has Lyndsay making good decisions for him… TWICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7.153 Round 15 Immunity Challenge

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE XVI: The Amazing Challenge.

Viewers getting your first look at the new Spacko tribe. . .Naomi voted out at the last Tribal Council. We are down to eight.

Rudez is now the first player to improve upon her finish from the previous season.
Brian has now matched his performance from SCWL 2.
Lyndsay needs to survive this round if she wants to tie her position from SCWL 6.

Brian, Lyndsay, and Marcelo. . .I will take back team immunity. Team immunity back up for grabs.

Alright, last round we had a major twist. This time you will have two minor twists.

1. Nobody is sitting out of this challenge. Yeah, not a huge game changer, but I had to do something.

2. The winning team for this challenge will receive critical information regarding the final rounds of this game. In a game where knowledge is power, especially in a season where a twist occurs each round, receiving information regarding the game where only six eliminations remain could give you an extraordinary advantage.

This is definitely worth playing for.

Because this is a non-live challenge, everyone is expected to participate. Whether you post at camp, in private message, or the main group, just post anywhere in this game during the course of the challenge. When two of you currently have two challenge strikes, it would be sad for everyone to lose a player due to an ejection in the game’s final days.

Now to the challenge.

Last round you split into teams. We did the first of two immunity challenges from SCWL 5 that tribes played after they decided to not merge. Now you will play the second of the two immunity challenges.

This was inspired by The Amazing Race, as you may have figured out.

Each team will use expedia.com (since when we resorted to using sponsours for each challenge, I don’t know). You will fly to twenty cities. Whichever city you fly to first, must then be the place you fly from for your second flight.

e.g.

FLIGHT #1: TORONTO to NEW YORK
FLIGHT #2: NEW YORK to CHICAGO
FLIGHT #3: CHICAGO to SEATTLE

Your first flight is not allowed to depart until 9:00pm eastern today. Your second flight must not depart until after your first flight lands. Yes, you are allowed to make ten minute connections. We will assume you are Brendan & Rachel when it comes to flight connections.

You cannot fly to the same city two or more times during the challenge.

For each flight, please screencap it (remember that the screencap also needs to include the date of your flight) and send the screencap to me. Each person on your team must send me a screencap of at least six of your twenty flights.

The team that flies the highest number of total kilometres will win The Amazing Challenge. . .and team immunity! Oh, and information too. Everybody else will be vulnerable and will have rather high odds of being the next player voted out of SCWL 7: All Stars, and become the sixth member of the jury.

Who will have the right combination of brains, brawn, and teamwork to fly around the world? These are the questions waiting to be answered as we are set to begin. . .The Amazing Challenge!

When we did this challenge in SCWL 5, Spau and Daln were five versus five. Spau lost the challenge and voted out Christian. This ultimately led to Naomi and Jason being eliminated in subsequent rounds. Gloria, Jeremy, and Sergiu were the tribe that won this challenge.

Now, Jeremy and Sergiu are opponents for this challenge. Let’s see who the real Romanian/Australian Globetrotter proves to be.

TIEBREAKER #1: Guess how many kilometres will be traveled by all three teams. The closest guess without going over wins the tiebreaker.
TIEBREAKER #2: Pick five numbers. Lowest non-duplicated number wins.

The challenge and both tiebreakers are due by 9:00pm eastern Wednesday.

Expedia is waiting. Good luck. Travel safe. . .Go!

Let’s get to some results. Unlike a mud run, it was obvious that each distance had to be measured.

Therefore, 8 countries, 20 cities, 244, 824.06 kilometres, Team 1 of Sergiu, Rudez, and Efe are the official winners of team immunity and critical information!

Jeremy, Renee, Lyndsay, Brian, and Marcelo, the five of you are vulnerable at Tribal Council. Judging by the fact that the game was turned on its head at the last Tribal Council, I would rather not venture a guess who would go home this round.

I will see you in the morning for Tribal Council. Better start thinking about who it’s going to be. I shall see you then.

7.154 Round 15 Tribal Council

TRIBAL COUNCIL #16

(BRIAN)-(&EFE&)-(JEREMY)-(LYNDSAY)-(MARCELO)-(RENEE)-(&RUDEZ&)-(&SERGIU&)
XXX
(GLORIA)-(EAMON)-(MORAY)-(SHERI)-(JESSICA)-(KJ)-(JASON)-(DAVE)-(HEERAL)-(FIONA)-(CAMERON)-(CHRISTIAN)-(AARON)-(LEIF)-(MICHAEL)-(LISTER)-(NAOMI)

You must answer your questions and vote by the deadline or order for your vote to count.

BRIAN,

1. For the first time since Leif was eliminated, you are vulnerable at Tribal Council. Last round was the first time since the merge that Co willingly voted one of their own members out. Do you think that the game has completely changed?

Seeing Naomi go last round gives me hope that things are changing. We shall see if this pattern continues or not!

2. What is it like at camp when three out of eight players are immune from the vote?

Every time “Team Awesome” does their little “Happy Dance” it makes me want to get sick haha…Seriously, there are very few options at this point and people like me without immunity have to be concerned!

EFE,

1. Do you think that you, Sergiu, and Rudez will all be voting together because of how the teams are divided?

Well it definitely forced us to cooperate us and brought us little closer. I like the team and how we doing at the challenges but strategically we may have big differences. In the end we are all trying to win this game.

2. You, Sergiu, and Rudez all have critical information as a reward. Do you think that could put a target on each of you down the road?

Haha, I am not a stubborn guy and resistant to pressure so If I notice that it actually made me a target, I may reveal but I am telling you guys this critical information is CRAZY

JEREMY,

1. Do you think people’s votes are influenced by which team they are on, or who are grouped together on teams?

I don’t think so. It is pretty cool that each team has players from both tribes though. I do expect that this twist will be finished after this tribal council so I think it would be short sighted to vote along those lines.

2. How much of a disadvantage was it to have only you and Renee as a team?

It definitely sucked not having Naomi to help as she was very strong in the challenges. But I am definitely not blaming the loss on that. The other teams, led by Rudez and Brian, obviously put in a large effort to secure that result and I applaud them for it.

LYNDSAY,

1. Survive this round and you tie your performance from SCWL 6. Does it feel like you are entering the true end game when everybody else is starting to match or improve upon their previous performance?

I feel like I have been playing this game the entire game, so not really. Obviously everyone here would like to match or surpass their previous placement, but I also think everybody here is already playing as hard as they can… if anything, the true game started when the merge started.

2. With Naomi’s Mutiny Trigger out of the game, all Opening Day items are gone. How does that impact the game?

Well, those weapons barely impacted the game because nobody used them. I honestly forgot about them for the majority of the game so I wouldnèt say it really chances anything. Nobody was using them before, and now there is nothing left TO use.

MARCELO,

1. Last round you had team immunity. This round you don’t. How vulnerable do you feel?

very vulnerable

2. Is this the point in the game where others are thinking about who to take with them to the Final Two?

maybe. Im just hoping i survive one more round

RENEE,

1. Eight players remain, sixteen are gone. How much of an accomplishment is it to make it this far?

I am humbly honored to have made it this far! (even if my skills in your challenges are lacking, too many blonde moments in a row I’m afraid) I am as before when I played your game, surprised and elated.

2. What is your criteria for the vote this round?

That it is someone other than myself?!

RUDEZ,

1. I have avoided asking about the jury up to this point, but I am guessing it is tough to ignore them any longer. The person voted out tonight will be the sixth of eleven jury members. That is a majority of the jury already being formed. Do you think everyone has started thinking about the jury?

I think some people have started thinking definitely.. and it’s those people who’ve already started planning their F2 speeches that are the biggest threats right now..

2. You survived a razor close TC last round, and now you are immune. Do you think it is now possible for a former Ky member to potentially make it to the end of this game?

No

EFE: Everything is possible and everyone knows that

SERGIU,

1. A very close challenge this round. If Team 3 won immunity again, how much different would this Tribal Council be?

Idk… honestly im just glad im safe. I guess we will never know how things would have trned out if team 3 won again.

2. Since the live Mini Survivor challenge, everyone has gotten along extremely well. Why is this group enjoying each other’s company so much?

Im a bit surprised myself, but i guess there are no reasons not to get along, yet. hehe

Okay. When you vote please do so in the following manner:

VOTE: (Logan)
REASON: Because all you do is date another player in the game to try making it further. It is time to put an end to this now.

Team 1/A/Awesome is immune. You cannot vote for Sergiu, Efe, and Rudez. If you do not live in Europe, Asia, or Africa, you are vulnerable. Between now and 1:00pm eastern Friday, it is time to vote. Spacko tribe, you’re up.

“If you win every challenge for the remainder of the game, it does not guarantee you a spot in the Final Two.”

LYNDSAY: Good game, Brian!

RUDEZ: I’m game for SCWL 12 as long as it doesn’t take 3 months! 😛

BRIAN: I’ll vote you out early next time if that makes you feel better.

RUDEZ: deal!

LYNDSAY: What about me?

BRIAN: I thought there was something that said you can’t finish ahead of her…

RUDEZ: Oh yes… okay fine, you can vote me out first 😀

RENEE: great game Brian Whitehead!!

Yet another power struggle tonight. Four people came out on top, but in a post-merge that has not had a specific voting pattern for the past few rounds, this victory may only be temporary.

Speaking of temporary, your twist for this round. . .the Intersection is over. No more team immunity. Only one of you will be safe this round.

7.155 Round 15 Blog

TEAM TWIST CONTINUES

Let’s just say I did not expect a team of Jeremy and Renee to do well against the other two teams. Especially when Jeremy was having computer issues with one of the sites.

WHERE IS RENEE?

This became a subject for Ky’s confessionals. You may be seeing confessionals where they say Renee did not vote until after the deadline. I should note the vote would typically be sent after the deadline but before I would wake up/get home from work.

Her and Lyndsay had both missed a couple of challenges up to this point. I think this is the round where I told Renee that she had to make her presence known otherwise she would be ejected with a third challenge strike.

That is the issue when you sign up for a season of SCWL that has 25 instead of 18 players. You have five additional rounds of play where you have to avoid getting TC and challenge strikes. That is a long time where you have to be 90% active in all rounds.

Just think of players from the SCWL Prequel were in this game. Some of them would have been ejected seven or eight times by now. It reminds me how far this series has truly come.

THE AMAZING CHALLENGE

We only have one more geography-based challenge after this round. Then the difficulty gets ramped up even more. Yeah, not looking good for the remaining players.

REWARD ON THE LINE!

Winning team receives a hint regarding the endgame twist. I believe the hint was something along the lines of “It is impossible to make it to the Final Two by winning every immunity challenge.”

RUDEZ IN TROUBLE. . .AGAIN

She may have been saved last round, but Efe has already changed his tune and seeking her elimination. Will she finally go?

SERGIU, EFE, AND RUDEZ WIN IMMUNITY

And Efe’s plans get thwarted because he won immunity. Sergiu probably wants Rudez out more than anyone except Renee, but even he has to hold off. Only one Warrior remains vulnerable for this TC.

BRIAN IS DEAD?

I was hesitant to say this simply because of what happened in the previous round. Naomi’s blindside was crazy enough that I refused to believe Brian’s exit was sealed. For once, I was right.

BRIAN, RUDEZ, MARCELO, AND LYNDSAY ALIGN

Four of the players who voted together last round would stay to vote against the other four. Efe is the one who flip-flopped once again. All that the newfound four-person alliance has to do is vote Renee into a deadlock and they are the majority. Rudez and Brian will have fully turned this game around.

LYNDSAY’S IDOL

Did you forget that Lyndsay still has an idol? You probably did. It has rarely been mentioned over the past nine or so episodes since it was found.

JEREMY, EFE, RENEE, AND SERGIU HAVE A PLAN

Jeremy does not have any past votes. Neither do Efe nor Sergiu. They are aware Renee has the highest number of past votes. All it takes is to trick the other four into thinking one or two of them will join the majority and boot a perceived big threat over Renee. Anything to win the deadlock as they know Brian has suffered a past vote from Renee in the pre-merge phase.

But can it really work?

THE MINORITY BECOMES THE MAJORITY BECOMES THE MINORITY AGAIN

And it does. Brian, Rudez, and Lyndsay being F3 was so close to becoming a reality, but a trick from the other four worked out perfectly as they voted for Jeremy instead of Renee.

SCWL 6 DEJA VU

Last season we witnessed something similar to this happen when eight people remained. Timothy, Efe, and Lyndsay switched at the last minute to help Nick. They just needed votes on one of the two players from Cam, DeAnna, and Rob who would not play the idol. They threw their votes onto DeAnna, but Rob gave her the idol, and the other four went down in a row.

With Brian a victim of a near identical situation, I thought we could see Jeremy, Sergiu, Efe, and Renee ride it out to the Final Four. Three of them probably think Renee is a goat for her current inactive spell, and Jeremy and Sergiu see Efe as someone they could beat as well.

However, can you really trust Efe to be consistent?

And with Brian’s exit, Rudez really sticks out as a huge threat. But could Lyndsay be punished for flipping? And where the heck does Marcelo fit into all of this? How is he surviving by always voting all over the place? Does he even have an alliance in this game?

FAREWELL TO BRIAN

Besides Lister, Brian has been the other long time hardcore fan of this series. Okay, there are several hardcore fans, but Brian and Lister have never really stopped following the series for the past couple years.

You could almost say Brian is the most involved since SCWL 2 was his first game, and is what brought him into the rest of the ORG community much like Racine. Oddly enough him and Lister would repeat their post-merge minority position. Although this time Brian would repeat his eighth place finish and place higher than Lister.

Furthermore, Brian was able to shake up the game more than Lister was able to in SCWL 2. There were a couple of surprising mistakes which Brian made this season. All surrounding one player.

#1: Brian’s plan to eliminate Christian leaked, and Renee immediately targeted Brian by throwing two past votes at him.
#2: Brian and Rudez thought giving Renee the talisman was a good idea. It won zero favour with Renee.
#3: All Brian had to do was get the four votes on Renee, but changed his mind.

Him and Rudez just could not figure out how to treat Renee all game. They were given two additional chances to forget about her, but their persistence backfired. Now Rudez is alone as the final Warrior.

INDIVIDUAL GAME IS BACK

With individual immunity on the line, a new immunity run could be in the making! Stay tuned as we witness the final leg of the season. It is a very fun finish and is extremely unpredictable. There is not a single elimination that you will see coming.

– After their voting blunder, Rudez, Lyndsay, and Marcelo are at the mercy of Sergiu, Jeremy, Renee, and Efe.

– Now that the team twist is over, each individual is responsible for their own performance in immunity challenges.

– With several members not doing well in challenges as of late, one player on the bottom vows to make an immunity run.

– And Tribal Council takes an unsuspecting turn as two players are put on the chopping block.

– The Intersection continued as the three teams fought for immunity and precious information regarding an endgame twist. Everybody was ready to eliminate Rudez.

– But that would have to wait as Rudez, Sergiu, and Efe won team immunity. Their valuable intel revealed that a major twist will occur at either the Final Three or Final Two.

– However, players put that at the back of their minds as getting to the Final Seven was the most important task at hand.

– Rudez and Brian attempted a plan to eliminate Renee. They appeared to have Marcelo and Lyndsay on board.

– But it was all a setup as they were only willing to trigger a 4-4 tie between Brian and Jeremy. In the re-vote, everyone switched to Brian as he was already doomed with Renee’s past vote.

– The long running Co core of Sergiu, Lyndsay, Efe, and Jeremy are on cruise control to the end of the game. Will the wild cards of Rudez, Renee, and Marcelo be able to do anything to change that?

– And with being the only Warrior left standing, does Rudez have any chance of surviving this round after her closest ally went home?

– Seven players remain; who will be voted out tonight?

7.162 Round 16 Confessionals

EFE,

Confession:This game is getting weird that I can’t even believe what’s happening Who could have imagined a f4 deal with me serg marcelo and Reene. This 4 is the most unusual 4 I can imagine. We are clearly gonna vote rudez and Jeremy but I don’t know what’s gonna happen with Lynds. I can’t betray her because she is Lynsday and she is my partner in crime. I feel like I am gonna piss lots of people but right now I am having fun! First mission is to get challenge threats out and rest we will have time to think. I can see myself beating both Marcelo and DQ in the finals so It maybe wise to consider my plans according to that. On the other hand going F2 with Lynds and Serg would please me too. Serg would please me too.

JEREMY,

This game is hard and things got exponentially harder after round 12. Rudez power play set into a sequence of events that has seen me go from the top back to having to scamble with my back to the wall. My insistance of keeping Naomi that round was possibly a mistake. I should have either voted her out or actually followed the path she wanted of keeping Lister. No half measures.

Regardless anyone that is paying attention should have realised the danger of allowing Naomi, DQ, Sergiu and myself to be in the final 8 together. And they did. I knew that Efe was wary of it and so after Lister was voted out I approached Efe and told him that I was okay with it if they voted out Naomi. Not because that’s what I wanted but because I knew that it would happen no matter what I said so it would be much better for me if I was openly okay with it. I knew the votes would be for Naomi and at the time I was fairly confident my idol was real and yet I made the decision not to play it on her. I did this because at the subsequent tribal council they would have had only one option and that would have been to vote out Marcelo. He has a higher number of past votes than DQ and without him there at final 8 we would not have been able to go through with the plan.

So I avoided making that mistake. I was also open about playing the idol on myself as I wanted to rebuild trust with Efe. My thought process was if I tell him I am okay with Naomi going tell him that I will play my idol on myself that in the following round he will have more trust in what I say.

The revelation that the idol was fake through me for a loop. Initially I had no idea who to trust. I had recently made a final 2 deal with Lyndsay and she was swearing it wasn’t her. Efe was adamant it wasn’t him and I knew it definitely wasn’t Sergiu. I now believe that it was Lyndsay and that she has been in a tight alliance with Rudez and Brian, possibly since the beginning of the game. I believe that she just beat me to getting the code and that the idol that Rudez played for Brian was the CO idol. I hope that is true because it would mean that it isn’t still floating around in the game.

This round was intense and reading the final vote “Brian” was such a relief. I’m very happy right now as I can’t see the revote ending badly for me. I have to give a lot of credit to Efe. He lied to Rudez, Lyndsay and Brian about wanting to vote for me. DQ did the same and i am super grateful that her vendetta against all things Ky continues. I am elated that they made the mistake of voting for me and not DQ. They would of had the numbers if they had done that and it seems that they got greedy. I really do think that the 4 votes for Brian should have been on Marcelo just to reduce any chance of things going wrong but I know that Efe is keeping Marcelo for a reason and I will be interested to see if he is willing to let him go. Anybody that sits to DQ or Marcelo at FTC will likely win the game. I cannot afford to make any more mistakes going forward. This is going to be one crazy fight to the end.

LYNDSAY,

Confessional update: How many times has Lyndsay trusted Rudez? A million…
how many times has Lyndsay saved Rudez? A million…
how many times has Rudez betrayed Lyndsay’s trust and f—ed her over? At least 3…
why does lyndsay still work to safe Rudez? No idea…

RENEE,

Gawd I still suck ass at your challenges.. Aren’t you going to have at least one creative challenge? Let me take some pictures or something dammit lol

7.163 Round 16 Immunity Challenge

IMMUNITY CHALLENGE XVII: Monumental Effort

Viewers getting your first look at the new Spacko tribe. . .Brian voted out at the last Tribal Council. Upon TC’s conclusion, the Intersection was announced as being over.

Alright, Sergiu, Efe, and Rudez, I’ll take back immunity.

Team immunity is no more. Individual immunity is what you covet once again.

In your tribe group, numerous photos have been uploaded. These are fragments of various monuments. For each monument you identify you score a point.

Also, seven of the photos have a very specific theme that is relevant to SCWL history. You tell me what the theme is and you score an additional point.

The person who scores the most points wins immunity and is safe from the vote. The other six will travel to Tribal Council where somebody will become the seventh member of the jury.

TIEBREAKER #1: Guess the total number of points that you scored.
TIEBREAKER #2: Guess the total number of points that will be scored.
TIEBREAKER #3: Send me five numbers. Lowest non-duplicated number wins.

We have done variants of this challenge in the past. Once in SCWL 6 in the pre-merge phase which Rudez’s tribe finished second while Lyndsay and Efe went to Tribal Council.

We also have used logo and flag fragments which was done in SCWL 5. Jeremy and Sergiu beat the Spau tribe which ultimately led to Branden’s quit and Chance being voted out in the same round.

It is also a slight nod to the Final Four immunity from SCWL 2 which had a much much harsher version of this.

This is the last pure photo-based challenge of All Stars before we head into the stage of undertaking some brutal tasks.

You have until 2:00am eastern Tuesday to complete this task.

Good luck.

MONUMENTAL RESULTS

Okay. You guys did fairly well with this challenge.

Rudez, Jeremy, and Sergiu all not only identified the monuments, but correctly guessed the theme for seven of the monuments (they corresponded to a region of a former SCWL winner).

They also are confident they had the right answers because they guessed they had scored the maximum number of points.

The second tiebreaker is what decided the challenge.

Which means they had to correctly guess the total number of points scored for the challenge.

Obviously there was at least 57.

Jeremy’s tiebreaker guess: 120.
Rudez’s tiebreaker guess: 100.
Sergiu’s tiebreaker guess: 113.

Lyndsay scored 17 to boost up the total to 74.

Efe scored 17 as well to boost up the total to 91.
.
.
.
.
Renee scored eleven to boost up the total to 102. It all comes down to Marcelo. If he scored at least eleven, Sergiu wins immunity. If Marcelo scored at least eighteen, Jeremy wins immunity. If he scored less than eleven, Rudez wins immunity.
.
.
.
.
.
MARCELO’S ANSWERS:
.
.
.
.
“big bang”
.
.
Marcelo scored zero points. Therefore, Rudez wins individual immunity!

Congratulations Rudez, you are once again immune. You are safe. For the other six of you, one of you will be going home after nearly three months in this game. Surprisingly, these are the safest odds since the Intersection. I am sure it will be another fun scramble at Tribal Council. See you soon.

You must answer your questions and vote by the deadline or order for your vote to count.

EFE,

1. You are back to being individuals. What are the benefits of the Intersection being over?

First you are more independent and you are free to not to do the challenge and let the others do If you are in the same team with challenge players like Rudez, Brian or Jeremy it’s awesome.

2. What is the downside to the Intersection being over?

Last round I was immune and now I am not sure If I will be ever again. Also I would love to do some sabotage before it was over, maybe next time

JEREMY,

1. The only person to not make it this far before is Rudez. She is immune. I am guessing this scramble is going to be a complicated one.

It’s always complicated. With the level of players that are left in the game it is never just about the current tribal council as everyone is looking forward and thinking “what happens if this person leaves and is that good for my game?”.

2. Or is it? Last round you were involved in a 4-4 tie where Brian was sent home. Are numbers truly 4-3 and it’s a matter of the 4 sticking together?

That said. I truly hope that the 3 people that saved me last round know how grateful I am and that we are able to stick together.

LYNDSAY,

1. Let’s talk about the tie vote. Based on tribal lines, Brian appeared to be going home by a near unanimous vote, but then a tie occurs. What triggered that decision in the Co dynamic?

Paranoia, dishonestly…

2. And with Rudez wearing immunity once again, will that dynamic shift or will the majority established from last round hold up?

IDK, that would involve people actually talking. *crickets*

MARCELO,

1. For both seasons you have played, you always seem to be the source of comic relief. Do you think players are keeping you around because it is pleasant to keep comic relief in the game?

Idk. I like to think they like me.

2. By submitting zero answers, did you think you would be indirectly responsible for who won immunity this challenge?

LOL.Sure. But if I would have sent any answers I would have affect the winner too.

RENEE,

1. The Co dynamic must turn against each other this round. Do you think you are at a disadvantage because you came from the Ky tribe?

I may have come from Ky, But since merge my loyalty remains with Co because they have been loyal to me. I feel like tribal lines are nearly moot point. But I am Co through and through. They are my peeps

2. How does Rudez winning immunity impact the vote for this round?

Well she can’t be voted out.. so um yeah. This reminds me of Andrew in my season a bit LOL!

RUDEZ,

1. This was a test! How is it to observant enough to notice you did not have any questions posed to you?

I was just wondering if you were forcing me to self-vote or something?

2. But in all seriousness, you have immunity yet again. As the lone person remaining from the Ky minority, can the voting dynamics shift like they have been doing for the past couple rounds?

This is Survivor, the voting dynamics will always shift depending on the round!

SERGIU,

1. We have had longer rounds in the merge than what is normal for SCWL. Does the long break between eliminations shake up the game at all?

Not directly… i guess it gives people more time to chat… but also making the game last longer… kinda feeling a Deja Vu from ou season when it just kept going and going…haha

2. Seven players remain, and each of you are from a different country. Turkey, Australia, Canada, Brazil, USA, South Africa, and Romania. How did that happen?

Not sure but i honestly doubt it matters where u come from? maybe makes a small difference cuz of timezones and giving people the chance to chat more, but i dooubt it has anything else to do with the outcome of this game.

RUDEZ: No questions for me???

RUDEZ: 😦

SERGIU: I think this is a Hint…Rudez.. Gimme your neckless Haha 😀

RUDEZ: No! If you wanted it you should’ve hacked into Marcelo’s account and submitted some answers!!

And that. . .is yet another unpredictable Tribal Council. The voting patterns continue to shift, which means nobody is clearly in power.

With only six players left and this game coming down to the wire, it will be interesting to see if anybody can solidify control. If not, the wild string of unpredictable Tribal Councils will continue.

7.165 Round 16 Blog

FINAL WARRIOR STANDING

After six rounds of play, we are now down to our last warrior–Rudez. I could not be more surprised that Rudez was able to be the last one from the minority standing unless she won every immunity. It will be interesting to know why Co kept her around while they sent home smaller challenge threats. Why, two of the bigger Co challenge threats in Naomi and Michael were voted out before her.

I could not help but think “wow, Co may have voted out players in a perfect sequence to set up a long Rudez immunity run”. The most shocking thing that could happen at this point is if Rudez survives a vote if she loses immunity. Provided Lyndsay’s hidden immunity idol does not save her, of course.

It is the polar opposite of what we saw last season. Sad Pudding went after Rudez every single round from the moment they were on the same tribe as her. They went after the minority until poor Nick was the last one standing. Then ate their own outsiders after that.

But here? Players are willing to give Rudez a fighting chance. Something that Sad Pudding would absolutely refuse to do. And a strategy which has helped many players win Survivor since the start of the franchise.
LYNDSAY’S IDOL

I nearly forgot about it by this point. See, Lyndsay does not typically send too many confessionals. Players like Rudez and Brian were the ones who would remind me about the state of idols in this game. Marcelo has played roughly four or five fake idols before Lyndsay has even played her real one.

Dave also ran through two fakes. Lister ran through two fakes too. Jeremy currently has a fake. Christian used a fake. Leif’s dream of attaining the rogue idol went away. Cameron found an idol with Lyndsay/Rudez’s help, gave it away, and let someone else use it.

So the question remains: How will Lyndsay use her idol? Will she use it to protect only herself or use it to keep Rudez around for an extra vote?

SCWL 6 ONE ROUND AWAY FROM HAVING 50% CONTROL IN THIS GAME

I never thought this would happen. SCWL 5 has two players remaining of seven. SCWL 4 has one of three. SCWL 1 and 3 are long extinct. SCWL 2 has one of seven. But SCWL 6? Three out of just four starting players still remain after eighteen eliminations.

Could they be the true endgame alliance all along without revealing it in confessionals?

I doubt it because we’ve still got Efe.

EFE–THE TRUE MASTERMIND TO DATE?

It is tough to ignore how many times things have gone Efe’s way this game. When I was hosting the season, I was paying a lot of attention to Brian and Rudez in the minority, Sergiu and Jeremy in the majority, and then wondering what antics Marcelo was up to at the time.

Yet Efe was sending me confessionals every round. The clues were there since day one. Efe, save for the early Jessica hiccup, has seen his closest Co and non-Co allies all make it to this point. That is insane after eighteen players have been eliminated. However, that could turn him into a huge threat. This is not a stupid group. Someone will notice soon.

LAST PHOTO CHALLENGE!

Yeah, nothing too exciting here. They were tough, I hope. This is the only truly lame post-merge challenge that we did. After this we end the season with three very strong challenges. One of them which has yet to be officially finished!

CONFESSIONALS DWINDLING?

You may have noticed confessional content be low with most of Co over the past few rounds. You will also notice that even with tie votes that they are taking an additional day or so. This is because I gave the occasional day for players to write up confessionals. Clearly this game is extremely time-consuming as it is.

I can assure you that when SCWL 8 is played, one confessional per round will become mandatory. Luckily for them challenges will be bit less demanding as well.

Wait, you did not think this series would end with All Stars, did you? 😛

RUDEZ WINS THE FIRST INDIVIDUAL CHALLENGE (SINCE THE INTERSECTION)

Co’s worst fears came true. Rudez won and shoved their own strategy back in their face. The core of Co along with Renee and Marcelo are in trouble.

It’s funny to see Marcelo and Renee develop an outsider’s bond. Neither have ever played in a game together, Marcelo rarely plays games to begin with, neither had ever been on the same tribe prior to the merge, neither are accepted by any sort of alliance this season, and yet both are still in.

Both have had votes thrown at them since the merge. Both are surviving.

This season is just too weird. It’s like this game has had too many twists and odd scenarios are happening.

LET THE TRUE GAME BEGIN

Jeremy, Lyndsay, Sergiu, and Efe have been a very good team since the start of the season. Yes, a little dysfunctional, but all four have proven to be very strong.

Three of them know Rudez has to go before the end. All of them are keeping Marcelo and Renee because they will be the easiest to beat in challenges and at the Final Two.

Therefore, it is the round of seven, and the only sensible thing to do is to eliminate someone who is their biggest competition–each other. One of these four know they will win this game.

TWO PEOPLE WHO THINK THEY KNOW THEY HAVE AN IDOL

Lyndsay -knows- she has an idol.
Jeremy -knows- he has an idol.

But only Lyndsay’s is the real one. I am curious if everyone else knew Lyndsay was the real idol holder. Nobody else was suspected of holding one at this point.

Naturally, when seven players remain, a move against the idol must be made.

IS SEVEN REALLY THAT BIG OF A DEAL?

I say this every season: The round of seven is usually the biggest round of the game because everyone shifts to thinking in a much more strategic/endgame fashion, and you scramble for that Final Four alliance to take you to the end.

SCWL does not exactly resemble this trend on paper.

Cameron pointed this out to me, but only one out of seven votes at seven have produced a result closer than 6-1 or 5-2. Heck, we had a player ejected and a 7-0 vote before.

I still feel that each of these seasons witness the F4 alliance being locked in. I say the round of seven is huge because it determines the endgame. Therefore, a 4-3 vote usually indicates a big shakeup has occurred (like in SCWL 0), and a winner from the minority is able to lock in a F4 and get to the end.

Since then every season has seen a winner from the majority alliance. If nobody challenges the majority, they are able to lock in their F4 with a straightforward 6-1/7-0 vote.

So I still stand by my statement.

The question is can the power shift? Will Jeremy or Lyndsay’s elimination shake up this game?

MARCELO AND RENEE RUNNING A HUGE RISK

If Marcelo and Renee vote in the majority, and someone successfully plays the idol, these two will be on the chopping block. This is a very risky position for them.

INTERNATIONAL TOP SEVEN

My boss at my job said that he is intrigued upon hearing that his son plays video games online and will occasionally play with people in Australia.

For me? I host games online where the last seven standing are from seven separate countries spread across six continents. Southwestern US, eastern Canada, Australia, Turkey, Romania, Brazil, and South Africa are all represented. All we need is for an introverted emperor penguin to log onto his computer and sign up for one of these games as well.

The only problem is that his computer always freezes when loading a page. :/

Yeah. Let’s pretend I never said that. It can be a joke in the Mario Bros. sequel or Mortal Kombat 3 film.

JEREMY SOMEWHAT BLINDSIDED

He thought he had the votes on Lyndsay, but everyone was too frightened of Jeremy and sent him home 6-1. I do not know what the true alliance is anymore. Lyndsay did not even bother with using her idol. What trick does she have up her sleeve?

It is similar to what I said at the beginning, but players were never truly going to let Jeremy get to the Final Two. Even with disappearing twice this season, everyone’s interactions with Jeremy led to them noticing how big of a threat he is in the SCWL format. He is very smart, social, thorough, logical, and never lets emotion enter the equation.

It is almost as if players were hoping Rudez would win immunity to grant them the excuse of eliminating Jeremy. If Rudez had not won the challenge, they may have no longer had any opportunities to eliminate him before the end.

Jeremy managed to exceed my expectations of how long he would be able to survive. Part of me really wanted to see him and Sergiu in a F3 or F4 situation again, but I s’pose the memory of SCWL 5 will suffice. For this being the only two online games Jeremy ever played, he did very well for himself. I hope Jeremy can find a new series that he will like in the future.

However, Jeremy’s role in this season is not done quite yet. He is indeed heading to the jury house. If you know anything about how vocal Jeremy was when leading the charge to try to get Sergiu as close as he could to winning SCWL 5, you can imagine a similar situation will arise this season.

But will Sergiu be there once again with Jeremy as a cheerleader? Is Sergiu the true puppet master? Did he wipe out Jeremy earlier than he should have?

Sergiu REALLY wants Rudez out, but can he do so when Lyndsay’s idol is floating around?

And that is why this is proving to be a very strong post-merge phase. I may have Rudez and Lyndsay ranked at the bottom, and for some reason Marcelo and Renee on top, but we could very well have our fourth blindside in a row.

Which is something that never happens in ORGs without heavy idol intervention. And never ever happens in Big Brother 16. God that season is awful. 97 days? You’re telling me that I could post all of the SCWL All Stars episodes before Big Brother 16 is done being played?

They’re nuts.

7.166 Round 16 Boot List Prediction

6: RUDEZ
5: LYNDSAY
4: EFE
3: SERGIU
2: MARCELO
1: RENEE

7.167 Next Time on SCWL. . .

– With Co dissolving the core of their alliance, Renee’s inactive status, Marcelo’s independent thinking, and their mutual inability to do well at challenges ensures their stock in this game suddenly skyrockets.

– Players finally acknowledge the Rudez-Lyndsay connection. But is it too late when this familiar pair contains the biggest challenge threat and the holder of the only idol in circulation?

– A SCWL challenge ritual is supersized as the players are overwhelmed into exhaustion during the challenge. Will their stamina keep up knowing the end is just over a week away?

– And after working really hard to ensure his five closest allies since near the beginning of the game are still in, Efe finally learns the problem of being too close to everyone as Tribal Council looms.

– And in another shocking vote, one player gets taunted by another just moments before their torch is snuffed.
