Amazing Race 30 Editing Analysis and Predictions Episode 2 Edition

Due to a combination of laziness and the fact there is only one episode to analyze thus far, this writeup will be very brief. Prepare to be mildly disappointed with the quality!

WEEK TWO WINNER’S EDIT PROJECTIONS (The following is the order of those who have the best chance of winning based on the edit set forth by production)

1) KRISTI & JEN

Jen is competitive. They like each other. Both are accomplished athletes and searching for opponents to destroy in a not-so-dangerous sport. This is an edit that will please the casuals.

2) HENRY & EVAN

Ernie & Cindy vibes that I cannot ignore for now. Narrators who overly prepare for everything but make cute little mistakes.

3) ALEX & CONOR

We already know their whole living arrangements. It’s unusual to know such a personal detail about a team early on in the season. They may shoot up to #1 by the end of tonight’s episode.

4) JOEY & TIM

They had a lot of hot dog references, but will it expand? Could it very well be a season of hot dogs? It’s a good starting point, but where will it go from here?

5) LUCAS & BRITTANY

Let’s see how much Lucas drags out his proposal storyline, and how long it takes for Brittany to go batshit crazy like the woman in Wedding Crashers.

6) CEDRIC & SHAWN

Shawn was portrayed as being a bit foolish at the Roadblock, and Cedric was portrayed as petty at the pit stop when arguing with Phil over the penalty.

7) CHRIS & TREVOR

A tiny edit but didn’t have the negative spin that April & Sarah did.

8) APRIL & SARAH

I can’t recall too many all-female teams who win after having an argument involving “little Bs”. And did you see the casual fan outrage?

Maybe they can take it one step further and call one of the other teams “a couple of tiny Ds”. I want an alphabet of trash talk.

9) ERIC & DANIEL

No edit. Was Daniel’s son even mentioned?

WEEK TWO LEG PREDICTIONS (The following is the order I expect everyone to arrive at the next pit stop)

1) KRISTI & JEN

Physically fit. Mentally strong. Good with directions. They await a worthy rival.

2) ALEX & CONOR

Much like Kristi & Jen, they appear to be a step above everyone else based on what we saw in the premiere.

3) LUCAS & BRITTANY

They aren’t as flawed as the other teams. There is a fire in them.

4) JOEY & TIM

Dressing up as French Fries goes perfect with the human hot dogs. In fact, for a country that invented French Fries, beer, chocolate, and presumably waffles based on reputation alone, I am amazed hot dogs isn’t on that list.

5) CHRIS & TREVOR

Why not?

6) HENRY & EVAN

I see them cracking under pressure when it comes to tonight’s Double Battle.

7) ERIC & DANIEL

Twins typically struggle with serving as a contrast in thinking from their partner. They will always be prone to major blunders (see Derek & Drew, Kami & Karli, and Liz & Marie).

8) APRIL & SARAH

I don’t think they will learn to work together well anytime soon, and aren’t quite as well-rounded as some of their opponents.

9) CEDRIC & SHAWN

Cedric may watch TAR with his family for several years, but does he really, you know, “watch”?

Basic rules, concepts, and tricks of the race have eluded them thus far.

I see them having a short run in this thing.
