– After yet another blindside sent a player packing, the game seemed to be up for grabs once again.
– However, it was anything but as an immunity challenge involving loved ones punished Marc and Majid.
– Erik, Kyle, Katie, and Allan all conspired together as Kyle threw immunity to Katie, thus securing her first individual win of the season.
– Katie also made her next decision. She was in charge of whether to reveal the truth behind the SCWL Points.
– To protect her own Points stash, she kept the mystery of the Points a secret, and the game continued.
– After spending the past thirteen rounds of being in the bottom of every alliance in this game, a vote of 4-2 sent the last returning player packing.
– But not before Erik saw his name come up twice more by the former UsAls, leaving him with two additional past votes.
– Pusa now holds a majority as Allan is the last Aldn player left, and Majid is UsAl’s last hope.
– Five players remain; who will be voted out and become the 5th place g.oddess, tonight?

8.142 SCWL 8 Round 14 Confessionals

ERIK

how much do I have to do to not get a strike

Bald guy one – Logan saunders

KATIE

Confession. So glad marc went. Every single person…erik Allan kyle ..all thought they were getting blindsided. But they all trust me : )

EDITOR’S NOTE: Katie is informed of the tie.

Yeah well who is this fair to. He didn’t even try to do the challenge. He wanted me to give him the word search answers. This should go to me based on how f–kdd up the tie breaker was last time and I didn’t even say anything

I did all 4 challenges

I should get immunity. I worked harder for it

I know it shouldn’t matter majid is going but still is frustrating as I am very competitive

Logan this is a huge problem

Logan?

I don’t know how I lost when he didn’t do the 3rd challenge

4th

No

That’s not f–king fair

Slider puzzle

I want something that’s not luck

Well we don’t want rock paper scissors. Imagine if you were me. I know I’m being a bitch but that’s one of my things to the jury is gonna be how many comps I won and same for him if he gets there.

I can do a slider puzzle in an hours time and so can he I’m sure

I host too Logan we would never do paper scissors rock

ME: But you two would have to mutually agree on this alternative tie-breaking method.

I mean you just want us to say fine let the other person win who cares? This is your call but paper scissors rock is like….what? Seriously?

ME: Okay. I checked through the rules in the rules document for what happens when all things reach a tie. Number draw is what happens in this scenario, which is essentially the “pick a number between 1 and 100” tiebreaker.

Can you see why I’m upset

Like at least acknowledge it lol

I’m competitive as hell it’s a problem lol

You should just make us both immune

OK give me a hint then lol

I’m scared to pick a number

37

Ong

Omg

Please don’t blog about my bitchness

I told you

I didn’t read it or get it lol

I wanted you to tell me how to do it in dumb girl terms

You never said that part

Lol at Allan turning in 144 bald men tho

Sorry I was a bitch I’m just…a bitch

Confession.

OK majid should be going this round 3-1. I think he will vote erik. I am now in final 4 with 2 people I’ve had f2 with since day 1 and then kyle who would be so hard to vote out. I just have to weigh who I can beat easier.
Allan?? No blood on his hands but what did he actually do this game ?
Kyle?  Lots of blood on his hands but made a couple moves I guess. That Anton one is his. Jury wise I think he would get Johns vote. I dunno about matts. Probably Ians. I dunno I doubt I’d get his anyways. Def Q.
Erik same as Allan.

I think I need to vote out kyle next and I don’t know if Allan will. I don’t want to vote him this round and if kyle wins next round I don’t know what I’d do.

KYLE

EDITOR’S NOTE: Kyle is informed of the tie.

end game..nerves racing with every moment until the vote. Breathing stops as you read down the line. It’s all going to plan..can it be this simple this time really? Have we finally picked our F4? ….not me….not this time….I want blood on my hands

ME: As I said earlier, Katie submitted her tiebreaker guesses after the deadline. If you choose to honour her late tiebreaker submission, she would receive immunity. Otherwise, it goes to rock-paper-scissors.

So your leaving it up to me to either give up immunity when I technically shouldn’t have to or piss off my closest ally?    Wow a real Sophie’s choice

I’ll need a moment

ME: Okay. Only fair solution to you guys is to do rock-paper-scissors here.

I’m cool with that

I stand strong with my original paper from the auction against Allan on day 1

If she refuses to shambo do I win by forfeit?

Please say yes

ME: Katie is proposing a slider puzzle as a fair tiebreaker. You would have to approve of this slider puzzle for it to be the alternative tie-breaker.

I can’t man first of im strictly playing on iPod only secondly she’s been bragging slide puzzles all day not to mention I suck at slide puzzles

She says I can have it whether it’s a tactic to have me say “oh no you take it” or not is to be seen but I’ll take it if she gives it to me

I’m good with whatever you decide bro

22

Yay me?

If I win I should vote her out she would laugh and laugh

Oh the fun we would have

I would need witness protection

I toad a sew

Haha I wish she would of stuck with her original tiebreak 1-100

I don’t envy your role as Katie’s punching bag

yet again I relinquish immunity for katie and place my game in her hands am I stupid to trustworthy to loyal? Am I ever going to vote her out?

F–k Ya not when she expects though Ya I’m a challenge threat I would of won had it not been survivor night and I got off work at 4 with only an hour to spare and kids to take care off

MAJID

yeah im happy we will relax on the game before finale 5 fight lol

marc laving will make me fight so bad

im so thankful to be in this game

if i lose i ll be so hurt lol i killed my self

8.143 SCWL 8 Round 14 Tribal Council

TRIBAL COUNCIL #14

(ALLAN)-(ERIK)-(*KATIE*)-(KYLE)-(MAJID)
XXX
(IRV)-(SHANE)-(PAUL)-(TINA)-(AJDIN)-(ANDREI)-(SUSAN)-(MATT)-(JOHN)-(IAN)-(QUINTIN)-(ANTON)-(MARC)

The members of the jury have been brought in. Matt, John, Ian, Quintin, Anton, and Marc, who was voted out at the last Tribal Council.

Your questions and your vote are both due by 2:00am eastern Friday (24 hours and 20 minutes from now).

ALLAN,

1. ‘Scramble’ is probably the perfect word for this challenge, isn’t it? Do you think that the cast as a whole has represented an eccentric group up to this point?

Eccentric: deviating from the recognized or customary character, practice, etc.; irregular; erratic; peculiar; odd
I would say that is a fair assesment of our cast but I totally see that as a great thing and one of the things that has made this game all the more fun for me. I think we could all use a bit more eccentricity in our lives.

2. And yet you guys appear to have been enjoying this experience overall since day one, and I still haven’t had an uncomfortable moment since the start of this game. Will that hold true until the end of this game?

I honestly think it will. Above all…I feel like everyone has played hard, enjoyed themselves and is excited to see how this game playes out. I haven’t played a game in a long time where I have enjoyed the cast as much as I have this one. Logan you are either really good at casting…or really lucky. Either way, it works.

KYLE: Any cast with greats as adjin and susan is a great cast not to mention all 5 of us here and the jury itself. #suckingup

ERIK,

1. Evidently, you chose not to compete in this challenge. How do you believe the other players react to someone avoiding an immunity challenge near the end of this season?

I’m absolutely sure some people don’t respect it. But it’s not because I don’t want to comepete. The night you posted the challenge, I worked 5-10pm. Then I had to be back for 5-10am. Then I had to be back for 5-10pm the same day. So while I love ORGs and this game and want to make it to the final 4, I needed to get some sleep in there somewhere instead of having a 17 hour day.

2. As we’ve seen in past seasons of SCWL, winning every single individual challenge can still lead to you losing a jury vote by a huge margin. Are players wasting valuable online energy on these challenges?

No, absolutely not. Winning a challenge is for personal benefit and worthiness. No one here is thinking “Wow I am going to win so many jury votes by winning this one challenge”. While your challenges are hard, that makes it even more satisfying….or so I would think.

KATIE,

1. You currently possess the largest individual immunity streak this season: Two. Any chance we will see that streak increase?

I hope so if I learn how to read directions but let’s not hold our breath there  😉

2. You are in the Final Four while your opponents are forced to S-C-R-A-M-B-L-E. How big is the vote in this round? Is it the most important vote since the start of this season?

This vote is not the most important as far as game changer but definitely a landmark. I think the game changer of the game so far was the Ian vote because he was the biggest threat in the game and if that didn’t go down I don’t think this 5 would be the 5 left in the game. I think everyone is on board with the alliance we have had since early on. Majid you know you are gonna be the best 5th place goddess Supacoowackyland has ever seen and you fought hard you should be proud of yourself. I’m sorry to see ya go just like it was hard to vote out everyone else and it’s going to get even harder the next round now that we all have to turn against each other in the alliance. We stayed true and I’m proud we have made it this far! love you guys  ❤

ALLAN: ^ Aww this <3. Fraid my vote is going the same way. Majid you were a Warrior all the way but I am sticking with my alliance come what may.

KYLE: I’m with them my good friend you played hard and dealt with more during the game in real life then most of us can imagine. I hope you can forgive me but this is just how it’s got to be

KYLE,

1. I’ve never had a SCWL Medley go down like that where somebody ties for first without completing a section. All you had to do was make one move and you would have had immunity. Kicking yourself for that now?

1. Ya I mean I did all I could but the word scramble confused me and I ran out of time I got the point of it I just suck at those type of puzzles. Them and slider puzzles please no slider puzzles for final immunity! But I mean did you see how far my flights went that’s a hell of a 12 day trip if I say so myself!

2. This game could be over within a week. What have you learned about yourself since this journey started two months ago?

2. I learned a lot. I learned the fundamentals of a game i learned how to trust how to be trusted how to use that trust and how to react when someone uses your trust. I’ve learned when to drive fast and when to slow down but most importantly I learned that there’s a lot of great people who watch and play survivor that I can talk to about the show, and other things that interest me. I am truly enjoying my experience and can’t wait to see if I can make it to the end!

KATIE: ^ yes to sliders!

MAJID,

1. You are officially the last person standing from the former UsAl tribe. Do you believe you are worthy of this distinction?

im not going to be cocky but yes i am …

2. For the first time this season, a former tribe consists of the majority of the players remaining in this game. Are you concerned that you and Allan could be picked off during these two Tribal Councils?

its clear who is going next im so sad cuz if i didnot win i wanted at least be in finale so sure im going im so hurt that one point was the difference between me and winning immunity cuz my tie breaker is 37 too i dont under stand why allan didnot listen to me since finale 8 i can see 3 pusas gonna be on the finale good job pusas .

MAJID: Allan Baldridge Kaite Katie Sirk Overbey i love you guys while you were against me but you were honest to me and i respect you guys for being honest.

MAJID: Kyle Mineault sorry i have no respect for you dont try to act classy we never were friends you dont have to be bitch and lie and this time i call you bitch cuz u deserve it because you are the biggest liar ive ever seen why you dont be honest just like kaite and allan it wont cost you anything dont you ever speak about me again ajdin was 100% right about you i dont wanna to fight and good luck -_-

Alright. Katie is immune. You cannot vote for Katie. Between now and 2:00am eastern Friday (24 hours and 20 minutes from now), it is time to vote and figure out who the 5th place g.oddess is going to be. Ykwac tribe, you’re up.

I believe this is what we refer to in Survivor as a “frontstab”. A rare thing to occur in the post-merge phase, and definitely resulted in an overall honest Tribal Council.

With that, congratulations on making it to the Final Four. Here’s what remains for this season: Four players, three Tribal Councils, two immunity challenges, and one. . .Survivor.

KATIE: wait wait wait…auction points?!

8.144 SCWL 8 Round 14 Blog

MEDLEY TRADITION

The third-to-last immunity challenge of every season of SCWL since SCWL 1. Play from a selection of challenges used in the previous season. I love doing this year because the developed points system makes it feel like the trophy race from Diddy Kong Racing. Entering in those points after each “(not-so-) mini game” is always exciting to do. Where do each player’s strengths and weakenesses lie?

If Erik wins this challenge, the rotation of a new player winning immunity each round since the merge will be complete.

ERIK CHOOSES NOT TO PARTICIPATE

. . .And those dreams dashed away very quickly.

ALLAN’S BALD GUESS

Oh my word. Seeing a list of bald celebrities is one of the more unexpected turns I have seen a player take in an immunity challenge. Did I mention how exhausting this game can be at times?

THE CRAZIEST MEDLEY FINISH EVER

Alright. Let’s get straight to it. Majid averaged out doing very well at most of the mini games. He only won one category, but was up there in other categories.

Katie swept two categories, but did poorly in the airlines portion. Her score barely edged out Majid’s.

Kyle did well at two categories, found himself in a massive tie for another category, and skipped one entirely. However, the points he scored put him in a tie with Katie.

Kyle tied for first without even completing one of the categories. I refused to believe this could actually happen, but I re-calculated the points at least three or four times to ensure this ridiculous situation had occurred.

He assumed he was not winning the challenge to the point he did not submit a tiebreaker guess.

KATIE’S LATE TIEBREAKER GUESS

This is when the scenario goes from complicated to chaotic. Katie sent in her tiebreaker guess several minutes late–presumably because of Internet lag. This was a brutal way for the challenge to end.

What happened from here was unprecedented. Katie and Kyle were tied in every which way possible for one of the most important immunity challenges of the season.

My first idea to resolve this was if Kyle would let Katie’s late tiebreaker guess slide. I’ll own up to it right now–that was an unfair situation to put Kyle in. The lack of precedent for this situation led to an inexperienced handling of it on my part.

Kyle did not want to make the decision for obvious reasons–therefore I asked them to compete in rock-paper-scissors.

Katie, understandably frustrated, proposed a slider puzzle be done instead to do the tiebreaker. Kyle, understandably wanting immunity, shot this idea down.

This was the approrpriate time to search through my own dang rules (something I should have done from the start, might I add) to see if there was a solution for this. All 150+ challenges in SCWL history have either had a clear winner or a tie had been broken within the tiebreaker.

Within the rules I saw if the tie after all tiebreakers came into play then a game of picking a number between 1 and 100 would be played.

In other words, if I had confidence that this would be in my own rules from the minute this challenge was over, Katie and Kyle wouldn’t have to be dragged through this whole kerfuffle. We would have gone straight to picking a number between 1 and 100 instantly like Heidi.

I should note this situation has led to the fourth rule revision/addition I am doing during the offseason. ORGs that do not have more than two or three rules going into the season has always baffled me–it is in the host’s best interest to have it all laid out beforehand. Otherwise you’re going to find yourself in crappy situations that are bound to favour certain people even if you are on a quest to find the fairest solution.

WHAT IF MAJID WON IMMUNITY?

That was my question for this round. If Majid won, would Kyle be voted out? Kyle and Majid ain’t working together. Katie didn’t seem to be up for parting with Allan as of yet. Erik isn’t going anywhere as Allan wants to keep him in the game for just a little longer.

Therefore, I believe Kyle was going to be voted out.

MAJID IS OUR G.ODDESS

And so it was meant to be. The guy who rode the biggest roller coaster since day one made it into the 5th place g.oddess role that I thought had Paul’s name written on it.

Majid was in an even worse position than Marc all season long. Majid was going to either be the first or second person voted out of UsAl. He was saved by not only his tribe willing to eliminate Shane first, but also winning the other six immunity challenges.

At the merge, UsAl became the target as Majid was seen as the least threatening.

Majid was apart of a couple of late moves. He was a crucial vote to eliminate Anton, and agreed to throw a vote at Erik which will become important soon enough.

It was impressive how Majid juggled the language barrier and the intense nature of this game with the equally intense moments he was experiencing every day in real life.

There really hasn’t been a player like Majid in SCWL before. I’d be interested to see a scenario where Majid dictates the majority alliance because all we saw this season was Majid relying on key allies from the opposing side to keep him alive on a round-by-round basis.

FINAL FOUR

Yes! It’s here! Our Final Freakin’ Four of SCWL 8.

ALLAN

I never thought we would be in this situation, but I acknowledged Allan had a very real chance of winning this game.

His biggest problem will be that nobody will want to take him to the Final Two. If he can convince Kyle to split up Katie and Erik, or convince Katie and Erik to eliminate Kyle as a jury threat, he is guaranteed one more round of safety.

After that he will absolutely need to win the final immunity challenge. I assume Erik is the person everybody wants to take to the Final Two. In the event Erik wins immunity, I would guess he takes Katie or Kyle to the end over Allan.

Therefore, Allan will only have a 33% chance of making it to the Final Two.

However, if he can win that crucial challenge despite his Points disadvantage, I think he will win by a near unanimous jury vote.

I guessed he was safe for the first round of our finale.

ERIK

I hate to label Erik as a jury goat, especially compared to some 2nd place finishers in seasons past, but it was tough for me to picture a scenario where Erik wins a FTC vote.

His closest ally is Katie. If he goes to the end with Katie, Katie will be rewarded for her gameplay “standing out” and being more involved with the jurors, and while Erik may not have done anything to offend the jury, people will likely view it as him being part of Katie’s game rather than it being a team effort.

Since I assume Katie’s biggest goal will to have a F2 of her and Erik, I assumed Erik finishing 2nd would be the most likely scenario for him.

I think he would have had an even tougher fight with Allan as Allan would be the independent underdog who came from behind.

As for a F2 with Kyle. . .I think the overall hunger Kyle had for the win would be awarded the win. That is not to say Erik was not interested in winning, but when you have Allan, Katie, and Kyle all in the Final Four, most players would seem like they are in the background of the game. It is just an ultra competitive core to have at the end of the season.

KATIE

Katie’s biggest obstacle will be surviving the next round. She has more past votes than anyone, and it would be the perfect time for Kyle and Allan to get her out. Particularly if you want to isolate Erik in the event he wins the final immunity challenge. If Erik wins the challenge, he no longer has the option of taking Katie. Furthermore, Allan and Kyle will have a bigger challenge defeating Katie at the end in a final vote.

A jury vote between her and Allan or her and Kyle would be tough to call. Can she get the jury to forgive her for betraying them? Will her case be presented in a way that rather than her actions being unnecessary recklessness, they were essential evils to get to the end of this game?

Keeping Erik too close to her may be what is responsible for her being eliminated at Final Four. She has to win the next challenge to stay alive.

KYLE

Kyle is the first person from BC to do well in this series.

I think Kyle will be the biggest target besides Katie at Final Four–he will be viewed as too big of a dang jury vote.

I am not sure if it is that BC Charm, but I think Kyle comes off as a very ‘real’ person to his peers. This is why Kyle was able to lead the charge for the first half of the season.

Even after Quintin was voted out, he settled down and found his way back into the alliance without losing much of an advantage in the game.

I think he could beat Erik but lose to Allan in the Final Two. A precise boot order will be what he needs to guarantee victory or else it will be a close fight.

If there was any combination of two people who would have the closest vote at Final Tribal Council, it would be him and Katie. This is what I thought going into the finale.

8.146 Next Time on SCWL. . .

– After fourteen rounds of play, it all comes down to our Final Four.

– Allan, the underdog. He was apart of a tribe that was reduced to a Final Two prior to the merge. Since then he has fought back in the majority despite losing two of his closest allies in big blindsides. Will his bond with Katie carry him to the end?

– Erik, the stealth master. He has been responsible for making a critical decision since the merge and has been on the receiving end of votes from the minority, but appears to be the guy most likely advancing to the Final Two. Will his subtle gameplay be acknowledged by the jury?

– Katie, the aggressor. She has been on the attack since the beginning, and has picked up two individual immunity wins. With her three closest allies being all that remains in this game as she has not been voted for in a while, can she keep her cards straight or will this layered strategy all come crashing down? And will she be able to handle a jury which is filled with animosity towards her?

– Kyle, the wildcard. After throwing two immunity challenges to Katie, and not knowing his closest ally has been preventing him from receiving the hidden immunity idol yet still being a core part of the alliance, Kyle finds himself with a great deal of power entering the Final Four. His social skills have allowed him to be driving a chunk of this game since the beginning. Will he begin to compete for power entering the final immunity challenges, or will a unique strategy trigger a blunder at the last possible moment?

One of these four players WILL win this game, and become the winner of SCWL 8. You don’t want to miss it!
